Hi guys !
MOQs are totally reachable if you think that the GB is open before three days, and the weekend is only starting !
I still have my order to make (at least three boards with two in mono legend + extras) but I need an advice first : What is the size of the Shift keys of a Maltron 3D ? is seems to be 1.75u but I'm not sure. Obviously, this isn't available in legended so what do you suggest in replacement ?
Thanks for answers

1u pipe is in the International kit (and russian), or take the monolegend and use just /. You also need the PRO modifiers for the 1.5u controls. I agree the |\ should have been in the Pro mods, but nobody complained in the interest check for months.daryl123 wrote:A bit confused, is there no option for a hhkb style layout with a 1x pipe/backslash as well as the (1.5x???) backspace key?
I noticed the russian kit has a 1x pipe key, so this is a bit weird

are you sure it's not 2u? I can't really tell from the pictures. Is it the same size of the Enter?
2u vertical Enter and Space are both in the Ergodoxian kit. Ergodoxian also has 1 2u vertical Shift.

Yes I was looking for Ergokit but since I don't have the keyboard too, I can't make measurement. According to this pic it seems to be 2u but I have no certitude and I can't really choose myself since it's not for me. I still can ask the owner but I think it is quicker and more accurate to ask the community so there will be no bad surprise if someone can confirm thismatt3o wrote: are you sure it's not 2u? Edit : BTW It already miss the 2u vertical tab key so I think it needs a blank kit.

I would take Ergodoxian + 1 half-ergodox blank.

reaching MOQ is progressing, slowly but it does !
The best will be two ergodoxian and an half ergodox blank but I don't think he will accept the extra price. For now I started with two numpad blank since even if it can fit the whole six 2u of the Maltron, there is an unused vertical return in the legended numpad. Moreover it's pretty cheap, it's the only kit with the two colours available in 2u (I think that's important to have both with the blank tab and the blank space side by side) and IMHO the space and shift keys doesn't really need a legend.matt3o wrote:I would take Ergodoxian + 1 half-ergodox blank.

Probably i'm in for a set, let's see - every day that passes by i'm more convinced of this grey caps! Especially the blue color splashes are very nice. Unfortunately i will really have to look at my expenses... A drawdown for my mind is for example a 27$ ISO enter key.
But time will tell

I've just entered into the mechanical keyboard world. My keyboard doesn't even has a month with me and I just pulled the trigger on this group buy!
I really hope the prices go down so that I can feel more comfortable with my purchase.
I'm also worried about the customs problem. Not sure how much will it cost to clear Portugal customs...
Anyway, for the time being, I'm happy with my decision!

You've picked an inspirational set for your first!
I'm just as concerned about the customs issue, of course. Perhaps we'll figure something out for all of Europe.
In any case, these caps are worth it. Matt's put a ton of effort into them, with plenty of assistance and grief from several of us here. It is a superb creation.

How about the sets which have only 2 ordered at the moment, will they be dropped if there are not more orders?

So you need to have enough funds in your PayPal up front to place an order? (Then they're held, and you get the difference back on completion?) I'd like to be in those numbers, but I'm nowhere near affording it right now. My best chance is at the end. It'll be close!

yes, you need money upfront on paypal. it's like buying it right away and discovering at the end of the month that you actually paid less.

I took a couple days off from the Granite legends. I see... dead legends... I see dead legends everywhere...Omikron wrote:Nice to see sales progress! Any updates on Cyrillic colors/legend placements?
I tried the chip key though, and it doesn't work with the graphics I've found so far.

Indeed. Best kept chunky and simple, I think, so it'll actually show up.
What's better: a rectangle (DIP style) or square chip?

Speaking of which, here's a detail from the System Information icon on OS X that's rather fetching:
We want to pull off our chip icon with 1 shade, ideally? Proper monochrome style. Like, say, System 7…
Not the best little icon of a chip I've ever seen, but something in that direction ought to do us, I think.

The irony is that they were both likely designed by Susan Kare…
Anyway, I'll try making my own in pure "black and white" because we don't want to get all multi-grey on this one key, do we?
