Recently they checked my parcel every time then I needed to go to custom office to explain for them.
But it's not a big deal. They let me go every time also without custom fee invovled.

Thank you everyone helping me make this possible:
That keyboard was one of the main drivers behind the HADditionals kit and I am so happy with how it turned out.
The non-GMK keycaps on that keyboard used to be badly worn OG Cherry kecaps that I retr0brighted and sandblasted back into shape.
Thanks again everyone, I should have said it a long time ago: I have to thank all of you for helping me get these keycaps manufactured.

Yaas, Wodan!! Exactly the layout I'm going for with my second HADapter kit. Maybe this backspace above Enter and split BS on top can convince me to give ANSI another try.Wodan wrote: ↑Thank you everyone helping me make this possible:Spoiler:

Thanks Wodan again for organising this GB, and looking forward to Round 2 (also when are you going to start a keycap sandblasting service? )beltet wrote: ↑It's beautiful! I've been typing on sandblasted keycaps that were originally very, very worn and I am still unsure about the keycap feel. It is distinctively different from GMK/NIB keycaps and more like the Cherry PBT caps. Not sure if other people will enjoy that.
Will sell a few blasted sets at a good price soon to people who promise to give me feedback. If that goes well, i might do some sandblasting for hire

I'm rather interested to find out how well this works, I've got a set of OG Cherry that is somewhat well worn, rather curious how the surface of sanblasted caps feel compared to the factory new texture from GMK.Wodan wrote: ↑I've been typing on sandblasted keycaps that were originally very, very worn and I am still unsure about the keycap feel. I selflessly volunteer myself to be guinea pig for your sandblasted caps.
Maybe a long-term review (3-4 months) with before/after pictures? I have never owned PBT sets made by Cherry, maybe one day, I too will own a set of Cherry PBTs.

I have only one Cherry PBT set. Well, one dye-subbed one, the other one is lasered and doesn't see much use.duynguyenle wrote: ↑I have never owned PBT sets made by Cherry, maybe one day, I too will own a set of Cherry PBTs.
The thing is, I love it so much I don't like to type on anything else. All my other caps either have the wrong profile, don't look as good, or the wrong material. ABS always feels so sticky. Especially old doubleshots.
Now I'm afraid I'll wear through my only Dye-sub set. Some keys are already developing some shine, like the vowels, S, and the enter key

Cherry Dye Sub sandblasting works great, the results are much closer to the original feeling.

You sandblasted dye-subs? Man, that must take balls.
But, if Cherry doesn't coat or treat the surface somehow, which I firmly believe they don't, the "new" sandblasted surface should be like a brand new dye-sub set, right? If so, that would be amazing.

Basically, yes. The brand new dye sub surface of Cherry PBT caps has a very fine texture, notably finer than their ABS caps. It's MUCH MUCH harder to replicate a more coarse surface with sandblasting. The current grain I use is the most coarse grain I can use and still "break" the surface as in not just DENT the surface. Larger blasting particles will not blast off tiny parts of the surface but instead leave marks in the existing, often shiny surface leaving behind an ugly, shiny field of tiny craters
Well maybe ONE DAY I try first blasting with coarse material to create a rough texture and then use finer material to finish it. But I'm already at a point where the effort I have is in no way related to the profits I can make.

Patience young padawans.
Waiting for enough orders to sell all HADapter kits and then close HADapter kit sales and invoice. Might be in a week or two. I rather wait for a decent amounf of orders to pile up and then mass process them. The difference between 20 and 40 orders is maybe 20% in total effort ...

(I don't have the kit at hand, and I need to part with one HAD set now (I have also an set with the very light colored modifiers))
