Cherry MX and Matias switches

They should come in the same delivery.

It's been 3 days, 7bit, and you haven't replied to my post or my pm about whether or not my order has gone through... I'm debating just disputing my order and not getting any switches at all if I won't get any response about anything, even if you just said that you were trying to get a hold of somebody to find out...

You must be new here. This is the Cherry MX group buy and existential patience training retreat. You'll never get in an ashram thinking like that.

This is my first group buy, so I don't really know what to expect, sorry :/. I asked before and nobody answered, and 7bit didn't pm me back, so I don't know if we're supposed to get an email or something saying our money went through...

Acanthophis (who does the PayPal side of the GB) will confirm your payment soon, like this.

He and 7bit can be a bit tardy, but I've a feeling that group buys aren't exactly their full time jobs! 7bit's got the nightmarishly complex Round 4 (caps) wrapping up simultaneously, too. And don't forget it's summer. We're civilised folk around here who take such matters seriously.

Ok, thanks for clearing things up c: Does it matter that I sent the payment without a shipping address? I figured that since I already messaged CherryMX with it that it didn't really matter.

Sounds fine to me. Read the invoice email 7bit's bot sent you. I think it explains right there which address actually matters.

It's all automated on keywords and correct forms. If you follow the instructions spot on it should get back to you with a reply in a couple days. I know mine took a couple days to post right but it is just timed updates to the detail by the bot. Thinking about it I would not want to mark things complete and done that quickly either.
Either way 7bit has always replied (not the fastest but see what Muirium said). Group buys are at least usually 2 to 3 months. Some can even take a year or a bit more. It is a opportunity to get things you normally couldn't or at a price normally not available. That takes time and patience.

The long ones are typically for complex stuff like sets of caps (with many, many options) rather than simple switches. Apart from the doubt about MXLOCK, every MX switch 7bit lists should be dispatched within a few months. Sooner for whites and greens.

If you did not get an e-mail with a list of what you ordered and payment instructions, then your e-mail address is wrong. Just send in (to CherryMX) the correct address.

The payment list is only updated once a week, if this is that what you mean.

I got my invoice, I was just expecting another email to say that I paid successfully. I didn't know that there was a list that shows who paid or not. It's all good now, sorry if I was a bit harsh.

The list who paid and paid not is updated by the one who collects the PayPal money and this happens only once a week.

I will do an update later this day.
But right now, the weather is too nice ;)

Weather? Nice?
:?

Ah! I see being a reptile you love hot weather!
:-)

For me, the bad weather (read: too hot) would be a reason to not update the list ...

Well, you have to cool yourself once in a while, I heard there are some lakes here ;)

Payment/"shipping" update

Payments from Buffo, snoozeymon, jdcarpe, xSpartanCx, , keyit, and zhasha have been received and marked as shipped for Paypal purposes (to keep them from locking up the PP account). Invoices may or may not reflect the payments yet. Keep checking this thread for the actual ship date(s), or spam this thread/7bit via PM the message "WHERE ARE MY SWITCHES, DID YOU SEND THEM YET." This only includes payments to me via Paypal. Note that the address on your Paypal notifications/notes are not necessarily the addresses 7bit will ship your switches to, he ships to the address on your invoice.

Wait, what?
We are an extremely high-efficient German wonder machine!

Oh well, 7bit is :D

I'm rather like Gandalf: A PP receiver is never late, Muirium. Nor is he early. He does updates precisely when he means to.

Are you going to wait for the grays before shipping my order? - Is ok with me if you would like. I am fine with waiting on everything until you can include in one package to save you shipping trouble.
Also 7bit I sent you a PM. Looking over the threads, do you actually look at PMs unless directly asked? :D

Thank you sir
How is the quantity of grays going? I figured they are not that common and just trying to get an idea of when you think some will be ordered.

A testament to efficiency. TY

I saw at one point a tool that was used to easily take the top off switches to lube, alter, etc. Happen to know where to get those?

Last question for now - Is it possible to change a brown into a blue switch without changing the base? Just never had one apart to figure it out. - Reason - I have a board with browns that is more trouble than most to change switches and would be easier if I could do it from the top and avoid soldering and dis-assembly.
