What switch type do you get if your keyboard is both PCB and plate mounted.... according to the internet my ducky shine 2 is?
Is it the case that one type can only do PCB where as the other can do Plate and PCB together or something?
Cheers

Seems like if I get the MXGREEN/NW switches then I cover both bases...(both PCB and plate mount) as I can just clip the extra holder pins off the bottom for a plate mount keyboard? Am I correct?

Yes, the pins are the only difference. Looks like you should get PBC mounted switches for a Ducky Shine 2:

I like blues and am interested in greens BUT I hear that the mx whites are in between the two in strength and actually have a slightly quieter click so it may be more likely that I can get away with them in the office (if not i'll keeo the keyboard at home)
Getting whites seems like a win-win as i'll get slightly stiffer switches than blues which I really like the idea of and they should be quieter (a bit - even if it's just pitch of the click etc).
BUT
on this order which are the switches between blues and greens?...WHITES? / MILKS ?/ CLEARS? ... different people use different names...
I think i will throw an GREEN in the order too to try for the space bar (can always change it back to a white if I don't like it!)

WHERE ARE MY SWITCHES, DID YOU SEND THEM YET?
order #0447
Hi, again.
Sorry, I hate to be annoying but I'm really desperate about my switches. They were in stock when I ordered them (MX-BROWN/NW). Payment was done and update in this thread.
This weekend I almost unsoldered my FILCO switches to build my ergodox
So please tell me that they are on their way
many thanks

Yes but if I get PCB mounted ones I can always cut the witch mounts off? They might go on a Poker KBT 2 now rather than the Ducky Shine 2... both are plate mount I believe! Whites are indeed the often forgotten third member of Cherry's clicky MX lineup. 7bit calls them whites, too. Worth a try. I like greens better, but I also buckle springs…
