Well, if these clear case switches were anything more than hypothetical…
I really doubt Corsair is pleased to help us with a little lenience in their 2014 exclusive contract!

Guys, i've removed the LED's from my KB. Do I need to replace them after the switch swap (or put jumpers in place) or will the KB work with the LED solder points as broken connections?

I have never had an issue not replacing the LEDs.
I wouldn't replace them with jumpers however, as this is likely to do more harm than good, as you will be creating a short circuit.

This totally depends on the PCB routing and can't be answered in a general way, imo.
For example a regular Cherry 3000 PCB uses the wires as jumper bridges to cross tracess.
I have some Cherry PCBs where the voltage trace of the LEDs is part of the voltage circuit of ICs, so if you leave them out the IC won't work. However there is a voltage drop with LEDs in place, so putting jumper wires in instead might have other harmful effects.

its a poker 2, this comes in a non=led version and I think they use the same PCB...so guess I can leave them out?

Just leave the points disconnected. A jumper would cause excessive current to be pulled from the driving IC which could lead to a component failure.fart_toast wrote:Guys, i've removed the LED's from my KB. 7bit, could you confirm that MX white will no longer be manufactured? Until the Logitech order has been filled? Ever?

It has been said about clears as well. I'm not a fan of whites, but don't have any info they will not be produced anymore.
I doubt they will stop producing clears, given that they make up about 30% of all orders.

By this logic, they could stop producing blacks!7bit wrote:It has been said about clears as well. I'm not a fan of whites, but don't have any info they will not be produced anymore.

Hello 7bit! Just wanted to know how long would it take for the Cherry MX blues to be delivered to the UK? Are these switches the ones that come with a diode or not?
Many Thanks.
Many Thanks.

RedP > No diodes included, you have to buy them separately but the 1N4148 diode in DO-35 encapsulation is a very common and cheap component available in all good electronic store.
7bit, did you note that I still miss some switches (and some leftover SPH) ?Please edit my account to remember to ship them to me when they will be available ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

You ordered on 2013-07-04 and did pay on 2013-09-01, some time after I cleared your order because you did not pay, which you would have seen if you would have asked the bot.kaiserreich wrote:WHERE ARE MY SWITCHES, DID YOU SEND THEM YET.

Also liking the idea of clear clears! IIRC they are only making them in the main 4 blue/brown/red/black firstly.Muirium wrote:No chance then of clear clears? Body and stem? Are these clear shell switches just guesswork / wishful thinking?

I still want clears with transparent sliders. I was very disappointed when I first laid my hands on a sampler of MX switches and could hardly tell MX clear and white apart!
