I vectorized them off of Chocolatier I think, still remnants from early mockups, but I have the Nantucket ones in front of me now. I'll do new renders in January due to a couple changes I made in both kits and the 3D models themselves. Though I did grow to like them quite a bit.Parjánya wrote: ↑Gorgeous! But I think the arrows are too thick.
A little crossposting from GH:
A couple changes I have made recently, project page is out of date therefor until I have made new renders.
#1 FN in SDK has received the appropriate modifier color, thanks jessica/brazzers for pointing that out
#2 R1 DEL / END / PAGE DOWN have been added to the TKL to support 1800 and 96key layouts, although I feel it would be more appropriate in the Numpad kit as anyone needing these three keys will also have a Numpad, while not everyone getting the TKL will need these as R1, or am I mistaken? Is there any keyboard that does not have a numpad but needs any of these three keys in R1?
#3 ALT GR has been removed from both UK and International sets in favor of change #4. Also I am aware that the UK and International kit both do not support Git and Monochrome themes. This would add two ISO Enter keys and two short Shift keys, bumping the price of both kits by around 10$. Rather have change #4 again. Also no more Z key in the International kit, rotate the R2 key from the Alphas by 180 degrees, it's perfectly symmetrical (checked on my Nantucket)
#4 Let's do Colemak&Dvorak and International in both Quarry and Hagoromo. I believe in you guys!
I'm now trying to rework Ergodox a little. People have requested legends on the currently blank keys, will probably have a few variations to pick from in the new year.
Also, I might do a Minila kit, 6 modifier keys would be required to cover that, too much to burden the SDK kit with. I hope 25 Minila owners will come forth once the GB launches!

Haven't updated here in a while. Please check the project page for what I consider to be the final iteration of this set. The only changes I still intend to do are for the Ergodox kit, I'd like to see how adding labels to the currently blank keys works out. I'll do that once I have Ergodox with board for rendering set up so I can evaluate the color balance better. Doubt all legends would be colored on that set but we'll see.
Also, MD will be running this set some time this year, depends on how the SA production queue cools down.

Unless the Chinese learn how to doubleshot or SP finally upgrades their capacity, I don't see that happening. This hobby is on the rise and everyone needs a set of SA caps...

Very keen on this! Would be nice to have monochrome SDK and ISO so I can go full grey on my ISO KBD75.
Are the function keys necessary in both the 'base' kit and the TKL kit? Just a question out of curiosity.

I didn't mean that I'm waiting for things to change fundamentally in the keycap industry. The set was considered to be launched in March-April but Melissa said no because of the queue being filled till November, and Chocolatier is already running a month behind (might be included in the November schedule, maybe not). Put better: I / MD are waiting for SP to give the green light that they are accepting new orders. Personally I hope that won't be ~2 months before the current queue is worked off, but we'll see.Wodan wrote: ↑Oh ...Oblotzky wrote: ↑ Also, MD will be running this set some time this year, depends on how the SA production queue cools down.

I have considered a Monochrome SDK kit, but this set is currently at 21 kits. It's insane as it is, though I'm sure it would sell enough units... regarding UK/International, ISO Enter keys are expensive, so I didn't want to add them there to make sure both International sets tip 25 MOQ, then again adding Monochrome to those could attract more buyers. What has hold me back so far is that you are as far as I remember the first person to even suggest the Monochrome SDK kit. For ISO/Int I think there were a few mentions already.pizza_is_a_lie wrote: ↑Very keen on this! Would be nice to have monochrome SDK and ISO so I can go full grey on my ISO KBD75.

I can deal with the colourful monochrome! I'd be 100% devoted if it comes to fruition, thoughOblotzky wrote: ↑I have considered a Monochrome SDK kit, but this set is currently at 21 kits. But yeah, any reason we have the F-keys twice? Do people really buy just the TKL kit often? It could help keep cost down.

The function keys aren't duplicates, they are in various colors because some like to sandwich them (4 white, 4 dark gray, 4 white e.g.) and some like unicolor.pizza_is_a_lie wrote: ↑I can deal with the colourful monochrome! You mean a Git kit for Planck/Atomic? Not going to happen, sorry. For once the set is big enough as it is, supporting Git Specialties is as far as I am going to go, but also many git commands are too long to fit on 1u keys.mecano wrote: ↑What about a Git kit on 1U key? Are you considering it?
Also, I am updating the project page tomorrow with what I hope to be the final iteration.

True, but it fits into the kit presentation better this way. And since there is only one mold it can't possibly lead to an error in production.illya_ wrote: ↑I might be misunderstanding something, but shouldn't the ISO enter key be R2+R3 instead of R3+R4 (as shown by the images)?
Otherwise a completely awesome design, will order for sure.

Made an update at https://oblotzky.github.io/Oblivion/ , even though I said previously I was done
- TKL kit has been removed and merged into each modifier kit. Simultaneously I removed duplicate function row keys, so instead of having 12 from alphas and 12 from TKL, you will now have 1-4 and 9-12 from Alphas and 5-8 from Modifiers, so only the Sandwich mode as I call it is possible now in the functions row.
- Shaved down some more on costs and ditched the WIN keys. Praise CODE. On the Git kit this meant removing the second pair of MERGE & BRANCH keys, had those duplicated before to reflect CTRL & ALT. The same goes for the right PUSH (Shift) which is now REBASE. A Git specialties kit has been added.
- ISO has been changed to allow for all three modifier themes. Overall I expect this to increase ISO sales to ensure MOQ of the International kits. ISO Enter and Shift are available in the three variants, and then you just add UK or International and you are set while not having any duplicate ISO Enter keys which are very pricey (5$ a pop or so).
- No more Quarry Alphas name, opted for what was right in front of me the whole time: Oblivion Alphas (and as such Oblivion Numpad, Oblivion Colevrak and Oblivion International)
The only changes I intend to do at this point are adding more labels to Ergodox (probably only the horizontal 1.5u modifiers), and I'm going to ask permission to use a logo to be included as the 5th key in the Communities kit in purple color. Stay tuned for what that turns out to be should I get a yes.

Just saw the GMK Oblivion page and went through the design options.
The renders of the No-Icon mods look very nice and clean but I am worried this will severely limit the choice of modifiers we get. I am assuming GMK has to make the molds for each of these No-Icon mods and thus many modifier keys will require an extra mold to work with this design. I'd hate to see ISO or WKL or 1800 support dropped because it is too expensive to get the molds for them ...
If it doesn't have an impact on the selection of keycaps and the impact on the price is reasonable, I really like the idea of the No-Icon mods.

No worries, it will have full support as you see in many other GMK sets, and the price will be very reasonable I believe!Wodan wrote: ↑Just saw the GMK Oblivion page and went through the design options.

Well in that case I am of course a fan of something new! New molds will add more options to upcoming GMK GBs and the text-only mods fit the theme very well!
Having the sub-legends removed from the numpad is generally appreciated! even with icon legends
Please consider an International kit for this GB!
I will gladly help with an "Essential" kit or you can just do a full international support kit.
