Probably not…
SA is my favourite, too. We so need an SA dye sub PBT round sometime.matt3o wrote:that's a decision far far awaypasph wrote:SA DCS DSA?
I'd love DSA, but I might settle for DCS. (we had enough SA lately)

don't think so.bigfatmc wrote:SA profile?
SA PBT is not really possible. We miss too many molds.Muirium wrote:Probably not…

But are the molds for PBT really any different? Signature Plastics own documentation of their SA profile says PBT and ABS right at the top of the page, and never mentions any difference.
Oh, wait, that was DCS:

The SA spec does indeed only mention ABS:
http://keycapsdirect.com/pdfs/SAFamily.pdf
Meanwhile DSA again states both materials:
http://keycapsdirect.com/pdfs/DSAFamily.pdf
So the coverage for PBT DSA is as complete as PBT ABS? I know there are some PBT SA caps out there, but they are incomplete sets. As much as I love SA, I could really use a good white dye subbed PBT DSA set with medium dark mods. That rough matte DSA finish should go just nicely with PBT.

PBT DSA is pretty complete, yes. As far as I know we just miss the spacebar which should come next year.

I'm not an expert, but an x-wing has only one shade of red?matt3o wrote:I know but... that wouldn't be x-wingy just a nice color combowebwit wrote:Two shades of red is too much. One would be better imo.
EDIT: Same with grays.

Matt3o if you could swing this with PBT in a DSA profile set then I'm in, no questions asked .matt3o wrote:PBT DSA is pretty complete, yes. As far as I know we just miss the spacebar which should come next year.
Don't worry about the Spacer because you could have it like REALFORCE make everything in PBT bar the spacer, which can only be ABS.

SP can't doubleshot PBT, Elrick, so all the caps with light legends on dark:
Can only be ABS. But the space bar could be PBT!

the set could be done with all dark legends methinks, but DSA PBT is not ready yet (due to tooling costs). SP told me they are working on it, I suspect that early next year this would be a reality.

Really sorry to necro this but I finally came across the most beautiful cap set I've ever seen; I'm not even a Star Wars fan. Would pay real money for this! In my search to see if anyone is selling one, this DT thread popped up. I was wondering if this Novel Keys set is anything to do with matt3o/the designs developed on this thread?
