Those pictures are just from before I got my SPH leftovers. I have a blue row 1 ESCAPE now, which is usually on my keyboard but when you're shooting for Deskthority and you have a wingnut…
Could still use a row 1 EJECT though. Fortunately the red one in Round 5 will go nicely.

Can I just ask what the difference between the ergodox set (HONEY/ERGO) and ergodox row 3 (HONEY/ERGO/R3) is?

Ergodox Row 3 contains all Row 3 profile caps, whereas the Ergodox set contains sculpted keys. You can see the SP profiles here: http://www.keycapsdirect.com/key-caps.phpsquarefrog wrote:Can I just ask what the difference between the ergodox set and ergodox row 3 is?

Thank you. I presume its just personal preference which is better? I've never used either before so I dont know which would be a good starting point.
Which "family" are the keycaps?

A lot of people like the sculpted keys. Most keysets on keyboards are sculpted in some way, but most keyboards have the DCS (cylindrical) profile rather than the SA (spherical) profile that these keys are. If you were fitting a normal board, most people would choose sculptured.
The R3 kit for the Ergodox is interesting, because most ErgoDoxes are fitted with non-sculpted keys (due to convenience mostly, I believe; there aren't too many sets available for it, so it's easy to just get a bunch of the same key). I have the DSA (spherical) keys on my Ergodox, and it works fine, but I want sculptured keys for it. So yes, it's a matter of preference. A lot of people want to stick with the flat profile, so the R3 kit is offered.
Take a look at Muirium's blue and grey 60% board a few posts up. He has a picture of the side which really shows off the SA profile. Keep in mind that the Ergodox is flat, however, so imagine that profile on a flat board, and think if that's something you'd like.
EDIT:
I didn't answer your question, haha.
All kits in this buy are SA profile.
The Ergodox R3 kit contains ONLY ROW 3 of the SA profile, so all the keys are the same height.
Most normal keyboards use the DCS profile.
Most Ergodoxes from Massdrop will have the DSA profile, so the R3 kit is a close match to DSA.

its about half way up on this page.
I really like the blue and grey! Really smart.
I *think* i'm going to go with the full sculpt. I can always get a flat set later if it bugs me.

Personally I'd want a black, red a Grey space for that, so you can swap them around and have spares etc.kungfoo wrote:I just ordered the graphite TKL set, the red TKL base set and a space bar for my Filco with browns. That is going to look delicious.

Yes megnin we already established you have a problem
I work in a laboratory, so the researchers and technicians all share the same computers, often eating lunch at them. I'll be damned if I bring in my board, only to have it filled with Dorito crumbs and melted in a puddle of methyl ethyl ketone.

Ah, good point. I'd probably cry.
I work in a little office all by myself, so using my keyboard is not a problem.
I have two PCs (I'm in IT) so I have two HHKB's on my desk. ... I lock my door when I leave.

Megnin, How many hands do you have? more than the two normal people are equiped with?
Nice collection BTW, I must admit that I am a little jealous.

I may have made a slight mistake. I submitted and order and received the invoice on February 5th. I thought I missed the payment due date so I resubmitted my order to 7bot, but on further inspection of my first invoice I saw that I still had one more to submit payment. I went ahead and sent a payment for the first invoice, but what should I do about the second order? Should I just ignore it, will my first payment only count towards half the keys total in no particular order? Should I just try removing the second set of keys through messaging 7bot?

You can only have one invoice, each new one overrides the previous. If you have too much on your most recent invoice just remove what you don't want by messaging 7bot.zacjor1 wrote:I may have made a slight mistake. Interested in buying a set for my Das keyboard. Similar to Daybreak365's design http://i.imgur.com/elYtU2Q.png but with Mac modifier keys. Could somebody help out a first time board member and prospective buyer with the pricing? I'm guessing around $85?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Try this:
HONEY/SIXTY125BASE
HONEY/ALPHA
HONEY/APPLE125
HONEY/CURSORBASE/BLACK
HONEY/CURSOR/R3/BLACK
HONEY/CURSORBASE
HONEY/NUMPAD/GREY
HONEY/F1TOF12
or try this, see which is cheaper:
HONEY/STANDARD125
HONEY/APPLE125
HONEY/CURSORBASE/BLACK
HONEY/CURSOR/R3/BLACK
HONEY/REDESCAPE/R1
HONEY/NUMNUM/GREY
NEITHER of those sets contains the Red NumLock you're looking for. It looks like the cheapest way to get that key is to get HONEY/NUMOP/RED. Depending on your budget, it's up to you.
