Yeah, would be interesting! I hope they'll make it!

Just buy! You won't regret it.

Well, you could. There's a difference between ordering them before the deadline, and paying for them before they're certain. 7bit counts the orders to decide whether they make the cut. Paying for white mods now could mean a lot of credit if they're cancelled. Of course, I know how I'd spend that…

I'm guessing around $85?
Optimistic. The expensive part is the all symbolic number row. The only way to get that is this:

$29, and note that they are all row 3. Here's what those various row numbers look like for real:

(Cue the grumbling that I'm showing off my custom 60% yet again! But this is what Round 5 will look like, just in different colours.)

Image

My number row is row 1 profile. See how it's raised above the rest? The kit with the symbols you want is row 3, like my (since replaced) Escape key in the foreground, or my ASDF row. It will sit low, back there.

Another question of rows: how do you like your arrow keys? There are many options in this group buy. Some like them flat (all row 3) but some of us like them concave or convex. With tall caps like these, you really feel every difference.

This kit gives you every option, in black, for $19:

7bit: can we get 0 through 9 from NUMROW sets, but *just* those ten, in various pretty colors?

So, how do i know my payment was received? No confirmation so far (apart from paypal's transfer acknowledgement)

Query for another invoice and see how much it asks for.

Takes a while, because US based volunteers take the PayPal payments and then relay them to 7bit. The bot lists your received payments on your invoices. You'll get one with the update when it's done. This isn't as automated as you'd think!

Hi guys, I paid my invoice a few weeks ago - however I was still craving for more and added extra keys to my purchase and was invoiced the full sum again :( wondering what is the procedure since I do want to add more now.....

I feel bad for my impulsive purchase but how am I able to get invoiced for the later purchases ?

Keep adding, and keep an eye on your emails from 7bit. Like I said to Laser, the payment system is done by hand so there's lag. You should see your payment eventually.

Oh, I saw the row : (Amount Due | | | | | 8.32 )

So I guess it'll just keep cumulating until my impulsive behaviour stops and I would just need to pay for that amount ?

Is there an actual date for when orders stop. IIRC correctly we were planning delivery in Feb/March at one stage? Looks like we may not be out of ordering stage until then.

P.s - not moaning, genuinely just curious :) Was there something to do with SP's tooling not having being done?

Exactly! I've already ordered and paid for a full set of black, grey, red, and white alphas and number pad. Although some of the other specialty keys are pretty neat, I can't really justify spending any more if the white mods don't make it.

Indeed. I'm not making my final payment until the white mods are decided.

Look at the wiki. Isn't it the end of this month, now? Depends on what 7bit hears back from SP, I suppose. But we're already well over MOQ for the entire GB, so whenever they are good to go, we go.

Where are the stabs and switch connectors on the HONEY/SPACE300 spacebars?

The SPACE400 has the connectors in the pic but the SPACE300 not. What standard does the 300 follow?

Edit: to clarify: do the stabs connectors have the same distance from the edge as with the 6.25 space bar?

did the das keyboard II have an offcentered caps lock? i had a black G80-3000 with the same layout as the DAS and it was off-centered.

i am assuming the das 3 is centered.

Yes, i just sent a "no-op" PAYPAL instruction to the bot, and got the "paid up to the last penny" confirmation :)
Smart idea, you can find out easily how much you paid if you intend to order more.

After submitting my payment via Paypal it occurred to me that there might be better solutions for group buys, at least for US payments.

If anyone has thoughts about Square Cash [1] for US funds collection, please leave your comments over at my off-topic thread: http://deskthority.net/off-topic-f10/sq ... t7451.html

It's easier than Paypal IMO and no fees to boot. Just trying to gauge interest, thanks in advance.

Hey 7bit, sorry to bug you about this, but would it be possible to get an update on the status of the white stuff? I would like to simplify my order to just get each TKL rather than mods of this and alphas of that. Just don't want to start fiddling while nothing is positive. We are also coming up on that deadline.

Just want to mention, for anyone like me that will end up blocking on production of these (once I finish my ErgoDox), you can actually buy keycaps that SP has overstock on directly from them for $1 each. All their SA is row 3 but they have a great selection of DCS blanks in PBT. I ordered some today and they shipped within a few hours. See http://keycapsdirect.com/key-capsinventory.php

Now I don't have to wait a few months to use my new board :-)

Just found this thread/forum so sorry for any noob questions. I tried skimming through the 100+ page thread but I couldn't find all my answers

I assume it's still OK to submit a brand new order? (I'm wondering since payments are due before 2013-12-31)

Except for the white modifiers which seems to be undecided are all kits on the Wiki page being produced? Especially the Swedish (SE) language kit is somewhat critical for me...

I have a Filco numpad to go with my tenkeyless board and to make it perfect I could use row1 grey Tab and "=" keys. I assume it's too late to add those keys to somewhere? Not sure there would be general interest in it either.

Are there any other special fitting consideration I should take into account?
