All non-NW variants (plate mountable) are available.
If there is demand for NW switches, the only thing I can do is to remove the limits and order as soon as I got the money from you.

Please notice that you only need the NW variant if you have a PCB without switches! If you just want to turn an MX-black board into MX-red or want ergo clears, you can open the switches and swap in whatever you like. No desoldering is needed if switches are PCB-mounted!

Hmm, good point. That should save money too.

Maybe later I could learn to make my own board. Could Membrane PBC be used for Cherry mx switches? Or the Cherry MY PBC. Either that or find a cheap Cherry board.

When you say membrane PCB, you mean the plastic matrix used instead of PCB ?
If it's what I think, plastic and soldering are not really good friends : plastic will melt.

BTW : Welcome back 7bit

Payment from HzFaq has been received and marked as shipped for Paypal purposes (to keep them from locking up the PP account). Invoices may or may not reflect the payments yet. Keep checking this thread for the actual ship date(s). This only includes payments to me via Paypal. Note that the address on your Paypal emails is not necessarily the address 7bit will ship your switches to, he ships to the address on your invoice.

Ah, okay, thank you for the clarification. After reading your OP I thought that I needed the NW switches for my Poker. I will probably be making an order in the near future, thank you :)

I mean a PBC from a membrane board. But do Cherry MY switches have the same mounting holes as a Cherry MX?

You can only mount them to a PCB which has been made for Cherry MX switches.

In most cases you need/can use the plate-mount versions of the switches.

I don't think so, but please do a research on the cherry website to compare switches specs instead of asking. All the informations are easily found with a simple search engine request.

NOTE: Ichigo87 (I didn't think I'd see 187 outside of gangster rap or police band radios), you paid in Euros, and paypal converted it to USD after PP fees were deducted in Euros. You may or may not be over/underpaid.

Can't find any information on the Cherry MY. Plenty about the Cherry MX.

Pic is MY membrane with backing plate, with 2 mx and 2 my switches for a wee bit of comparison.

Thanks! To me the mounting pins look to be different different. Can you confirm?

MY is riveted, while MX is soldered and may or may not have support pins. You cant put MX on an MY plate without drilling a few hundred holes.

MY boards only have Pcb on the controller. My caps snap into the metal plate, with the membrane sandwiched in between the leaf spring on the bottom of the switch and the plate. MX are no go....

Edit: what The_Ed said.

They where marked as shipped before I went off, so I guess they got lost.

:-(

I ship again in a few days...

I sent a PM to CherryMX with an order half an hour ago, but forgot to include my e-mailaddress. I immediately edited the message though and added it, but I haven't heard anything since then. Is this normal, or did I mess up the bot?

Should be fine. It's not an instantaneous process.

you don't have to order a box, it is just a geeky thing to have if you keep a stockpile of switches.

you use the locks a key that you want to act as a toggle, e.g, if you had one on a Shift key, shift would stay activated until you pressed it again to unlock it. back in the olden days, caps lock switches were like this.
