For some reason greens work so well for me with SA caps, no idea why.

There is a COMMAND key in the MODEXTRA125 sets.

Strangely, there is a BEAK key but not a BREAK key. Makes no sense to me, but I'm sure it make sense to duck fans or something.

For some reason greens work so well for me with SA caps, no idea why.

Tall caps make switches feel lighter. Assuming MX greens, you've lightened them to something in the sweet spot between blue and green (or red and black) which is exactly what Cherry should have bloody made them in the first place!

I would totally order a set of cream alphas if there was also a Dvorak kit to go with them. Bet that would look pretty sweet with the violet base on my ErgoDox. Oh, well... that's about $100 I can spend elsewhere.

How do you mean? I cannot feel a difference going from DSA to DCS to SA on my greens.

I think I can understand what you mean, Muirium, when you speak about how different keycap profiles can interact with a switch differently. The (taller) OEM keycaps on this WASD keyboard (with MX Reds) that I just got for work do make the switches feel softer than the lower profile DSAs on my Filco. Which means you may be right about matching up the SA Space Cadets (whenever they arrive) with MX Blacks instead of MX Reds. Definitely something to consider...

People have looked into this. I find it's a significant effect. Blacks feel a lot closer to reds to me when I put SA caps on them instead of Cherry profile originals. The same change is also present on the NovaTouch, which feels way lighter with Round 5 on it instead of DSA. The effect is not just the extra weight of SA caps — that's not nearly enough — but something to do with the geometry of pressing these differently shaped keys.

That could well be why you don't feel a difference. It could well depend on style. I type in the hovering style, my hands in the air, roaming around.

I believe it might also be safe to pay 100% of your order. BUT with 7bit°s very complex ordering system this could also be false.

I could add a COLRAK kit (covers DVORAK and COLEMAK). But please keep in mind that 25 keys is the MOQ, so it might be expensive if there are not enough people.

The CREAM alphas (18 orders already) are a sure thing, but I will wait until after the deadline to add any extra stuff.
