Chuck earlier didn't just send me a few labels, but all the different types. The trick here was not asking him for any, so he included them all just to be sure. Oooh Unicomp.

I feel I deserved them because that last order took me a few months. They suddenly stopped answering mail for over a month a while back. I thought they quit business.

Shame Chuck isn't there anymore. I asked for those same black IBM badges in your photo, and got them without questions. Long live Chuck Cropper!

ps: The fact that he retired with 67 years says everything. If he would have been a lazy employee, they had pensioned him 12 years ago, or earlier!

alright here is my idea...we send him something and sign the card deskthority + geekhack, for years of service.
There are enough candy + cake shops in the us that do custom orders/send stuff with a personalized card...so either send him a model m cake or truffles with a card as thanks...the guy definitely deserves some thanks for all hes done.

Same answers from unicomp
Got reply earlier this morning
They claim they cannot sell IBM logo, which indicates they do have some in stock,
And he sent me a sample photo of color options
But not sure whether we can order color for any keys?
Btw, he said they still have some grey cover sets for sale

Just an idea, if you can't get RGB, maybe get RBG? It actually looks quite good!
These pics I once saved from a geekhack topic, but I forgot the author. Also ordered from Unicomp.
Personally I think the yellow is too much, but YMMV.
Actually I have some blanks myself for this![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

This group buy is now open to other shipping locations as well!laggy-gaga wrote:Hi 7bit

So if you want to order some stuff, I will do that for you. Shipping will be from the US.
I will sart the money collection on Monday.
Currently, payment is to me,
but maybe somone in the US will help out on that, so you can use PayPal instead (you must cover the PayPal fees! Don't use the gift option too often, because it could pull the one who receives the payment into deep Yoghurt).
Prices are the unicomp prices, see post above,
plus your part of shipping costs within US,
plus a little extra for the one who does the shipping,
plus shipping costs to your location (will be calculated later).

what do you mean by "shipping will be from the U.S."?
For me, it means shipping will be direct from the U.S. to Belgium? I thought it was shipping first to Berlin!?
I'm confused

It will ship from the US if the shipping costs are lower that way (for instance if you buy a keyboard or two). If you only get lightweight stuff like labels, some key caps or cases, it will ship first to my site and then to yours.TacticalCoder wrote:re,7bit wrote:This group buy is now open to other shipping locations as well!

Ah sounds fun, once again thanks for taking care of all this!7bit wrote:lightweight stuff like labels, some key caps or cases, it will ship first to my site and then to yours.
Kinda lost where I was at but now that I saw the price list I'll rewrite my list here:
- 3 full-size industrial shells (top +bottom) @ $20 each = $60
- one black "otaku" ANSI keyset @ $20
- two RGB unprinted keyset @ $6 = $12
- 2 Black LED overlay w Symbols & bottom cutouts @ $1.50 each = $3
- 1 Ind gray LED overlay w Eng. & bottom cutouts @ $1.50
Then one last request if it exits: a blank '0' key from the numpad in gray color or a "black lettering on gray" '0' numpad key (no matter if it has other printings too or not). Basically I'd like to make an "all gray" numpad and for that I need a '0' with the stabilizer etc. that would be gray.
Thanks and talk to you soon
