Thanks, it's all light grey and actually not yellowed at all. Got it for 25€+shipping on eBay today. Those Cherry Cases and/or caps doesn't tend to yellow over the time as they are all PBT i think. My G80-1000 from 1987 for example doesn't has the slightest yellowing, it's another kind of plastic

I looked it up, I paid 27,50 € including shipping in October last year.
The caps are definitely PBT. I'm not sure about the case though -- I guess it's ABS, but the time when they used those flame retardants might have been over already when it was made.
There seem to be other causes for yellowing though:

Was a little fast with my answer, look what I found in the wiki:
The winkeyless version was produced as OEM for Compaq with Compaq's logo and a special beige hue.

What would you estimate for:
Industrial case for IBM Model M full-size (both the top and the bottom)?
Industrial case for IBM Model M mini / space-saver (only the top)?

Too rare to tell. I doubt anybody here will pay more than about $400 for it. It's not even mechanical after all.Merloobi wrote:Anyone know how much Optimus Maximus is worth? Its been used once and has all of its original packaging.

It's actually mechanical, albeit very rare (Cherry ML).Icarium wrote:Too rare to tell. I doubt anybody here will pay more than about $400 for it. And this is also why you shouldn't really trust anything you read in this thread ..
Besides, 400$ barely buys you 4 skull-fucker caps !!
Feel free to bitch about shipping-costs !!!

Of course I am just trying to help and yes, maybe that estimate was horrible.
It was just a guess based on the fact that most people don't have absurd amounts of money (because they bought all those skull-fucker caps! (actually a skull-fucker cap would be pretty awesome, totally hardcore metal)) and there was no real interest in the last Optimus Maximus.
In any case selling it on ebay probably yields more profit because you are more likely to find the nut who wants it super bad.
Maybe we could just replace this thread with a voting thread: "how much would you pay for X" or a history/link thread "how much has been paid for X recently".

How much would an AZERTY Schneider MF2 (G81-3090 HAF) be worth? The keys are DS.
If the keyboard is of no interest, how much would be its set of DS AZERTY winkeyless keycaps be worth?
(btw nobody answered about the NOS industrial cases from Unicomp yet ; )

I'd estimate around 20 to 25 if caps are used, about 40 to 45 NIB. Nobody wants to pay for G81 keyboards, so I'd say the price is roughly the same with or without the keyboard. Corrigez-moi si je me trompe, mes amis!

I'd double both values for the caps. There aren't a lot of them around.Halvar wrote:I'd estimate around 20 to 25 if caps are used, about 40 to 45 NIB. Nobody wants to pay for G81 keyboards, so I'd say the price is roughly the same with or without the keyboard.

Thanks guys... When you say that there aren't many around, is it because the doubleshots are uncommon in AZERTY?mintberryminuscrunch wrote:I'd double both values for the caps. While being a G81, the Schneider MF2 might still be worth something at all to collectors because of its somewhat unusual case (pic of a Portuguese version):
(note that only the upper shell differs from other G81-3000s and can be swapped with those).
As for the doubleshot AZERTY caps, I agree that they are quite difficult to find, but on the other hand most French keyboard geeks seem to prefer BÉPO.
So I too would rate it at 20-25 € - or even 15-20 if it has Belgian AZERTY

What would a fair price be for this ?
(Please note the Danish layout!!)
IBM 5155-portable-DK-layout
By 'fair' I mean :
None of the parties get robbed ..
The seller is the original buyer/owner, and she (!!) paid 40something thousand DKR for it originally !
I could get one with QWERTZ-layout for a few hundred credits or less on paypalBay..
So.. What is that keyboard 'worth' ?
Also, whatabout the junk that comes with it, aka 'the computer' ??

This might be antique in 50 years or so. At the moment, it's junk for 99,99% of people. Hey, you can emulate hundreds of these computers at the same time on a smartphone! If you promise not to trash it but to keep the whole thing and spend time using it and keeping it alive, you should get it for nothing or a few bucks.
If you trash it and keep just the keyboard, you should pay ONE MILLION DOLLAR!

Hi I will probably have to sell my CST L-TracX (2545-5XW-RC 3200cpi) trackball.
I have no idea what it would be worth as it is a bit shiny and I repositioned the mode LED onto the top (held by a ledclip).
Any idea? If someone is interested in it just hook me up with a PM.

How much is this Amstrad keyboard worth?
- 101key layout w/ big-ass Enter and Czech lettering
- spring over membrane with linear action, quite pingy
- pad-printed keycaps in mint condition
- DIN5, works fine with a converter to USB

Hello!
I have a Happy Hacking Professional 2 (Dark Gray) + red ESC key + Hard Case for Happy Hacking Keyboard.
The Keyboard was ordered on Elitekeyboards 1 year ago, and used for approx. 6 months on a daily basis (I now use a Type-S :p )
It is in really good condition, no scratchs or whatsoever, and come with the original box.
I'm based in France, how much can I hope for this?
Thanks !

Interesting, FCC grantee of "FMA" is NTC (Nan Tan), which is why it looks exactly like a [wiki]NTC KB-6251[/wiki] (which uses Alps switches).davkol wrote:How much is this Amstrad keyboard worth? …
