What I've got
- An apple M0116 with ultrasonically cleaned salmons, lubed with krytox 205g0 as I hadn't dared wax mod at the time. I recently got my converter working, and can confirm the keyboard is fully functional! It sounds really nice and deep as a result of the lubing, and the enter key specifically is deeper than chyros's voice (impossible, you might say)
- a NOS white linear space invaders keyboard, DEC style. It has a ps/2 plug, but speaks it's own terminal protocol that i can't seem to find a guide on converting, though I'm told there is one somewhere.
- Very good condition DYTCOM K-261 with MX mount Futaba MA clickies and stabilisers lubed with 205g0 and . The switches present were a surprise to me, as in my research (or the limited amount i could find on this seemingly rare board) they came with cherry blues and linear taiwan jet axis switches.
It has not terribly thin keycaps of unknown printing method, but they're pretty bold and not worn at all, aside from some mysterious and minor keycap yellowing despite it coming to me in what looks like NIB form. The switches are mounted on a plastic plate, which I actually really enjoy as it lowers the pitch more than the other MA board i had with a steel mounting plate. Nevertheless, this is the most consistent MA board I've ever owned, smooth and more tactile than the other one i had. It does have one issue though - when it arrived to me the spacebar didn't register unless pressed to rock-bottom with about a kilo of force I desoldered it and swapped it for the numpad plus key's switch, as I don't think I've literally ever used it on any keyboard. I did have to do some PCB repair as I accidentally lifted a pad on the spacebar pads, but it should be fine now.
- A Greenock made grey badge model m, that, despite it's badge, has a shiny rainbow backplate and presumably square badge internals. Last I'd checked it only had 2ish rivets popped off, and so hopefully won't need boltmodded any time soon.
And now for the boring modern keyboard section:
- A corsair K68 rgb with rgb cherry MX reds. I've clipped and lubed the stabilisers on the 60% cluster, and I think last i remember I'd tape modded and foamfilled it, though i doubt people here care. It's a pretty decent gaming keyboard, but I don't expect it to add much value to the trade.
- A hot-swappable keychron K7 with low profile gateron browns, white backlighting version. This is honestly a really nice travel board, compact and portable yet mechanical. I'm just listing this because It's too loud for the situations I'd be using it in, but so would most mechanicals.
- A heavily-experimented-upon rk61, list of modifications following - sprayed a nice pine green, though admittedly it was my first spray-paint thus is a bit patchy on the top rim of the case. Tape modded and filled with too-premium-for-an-rk61 poron foam that I cut from a sheet. I also cut plate foam for it from my chair's packaging. I have PE foam I cut for it but it's not installed, if you fancy this keyboard i can include it at your request. It also has a filed USB port, as I've been running it screwless with squares of foam on the standoffs for the ultimate budget gasket experience. It was my first more custom mechanical, and i think it works great as an mx test-bench due to it's hotswappability. I'd recommend you fill it with switches other than the RK branded blues I can send it with to your request, and similarly i think it deserves nicer than the stock keycaps, which i can also send / not send at your request.
- 70ish Kailh box navies. They have pretty spectacular tactility, but they're a bit too heavy for me personally. I hope they find someone with heavier fingers than I.
