G81s (and not even all of them) have metal *backplates* with only tiny holes to mount MY switches, not big cutouts.

thanks HzFaq! I was looking for a coiled one since it's to solder on a Dolch keyboard. I saw old Cherry MY7000/8000 caps GBs, where those keyboards had coiled cables. Did anyone entered those GBs or remember the ps/2 cables?

does anyome have a some linear Gateron new revision switch (KS-8 or KS-9) that might spare? I've read they are less smooth and sound worse than the previous milky ones (KS-1/3?), but I want to confirm that before buying a new pack of Gats.

Well, maybe he wants to do the mod where you take out the coil springs. Then MY is not so ultra-bad anymore.
