Jokes aside, in this day and age, having multiple monitors is incredibly helpful (although some level of care needs to be taken, in order to have a GOOD multimonitor setup).
Good enough monitors are not incredibly expensive anymore, as used to be the case, so, the only real reason to not have 'em is lack of space (or budget, after having been blown up by the purchase of yet another keyboard).
