I tried to understand the Danish layout but started getting a headache.

Written Danish is easy to understand if you are Swedish or Norwegian, but spoken Danish is near impossible some times. When I go to Denmark, I speak English with people I don't know. Swedish/Finnish layout is quite close to Danish and Norwegian. The Ö and Ä keys are the same as in German layout.
The symbols ½ and § are swapped on the same key, but nobody hardly ever uses those symbols anyway.
