@u-ra that is nice. While on subject of alps bigfoots, I opened the SGI Granite I got the other day, and was disappointed that there was no metal part inside. I thought all SGIs came with it, but obviously not.

I'm sure they're salmons and the light is screwing the camera up. No idea about the keycaps, though. Will report when the board gets here.

I think this one has simplified white switches, but they are said to be quite fun to type on. It is also nice and compact, but I find it difficult to navigate these layouts that are in the twilight zone between 60% and TKL. It's a bit pricey, but free shipping to at least some parts of the world.

I'm probably at least as crappy at finding the right stuff as you are. I went the safe route and paid a little more than I potentially could have, buying my blue Alps from forum members I trust rather than ebay.

Looks like a fk-2001, but it's shell is slightly different - it even looks like it came with some kind of dust cover.

Modded G80-1800 with MX blue (alphas keys) and black (other keys) switches on the alphas and, micro USB plug and blue case:

BUT
with an awful mixture of different keycaps:
lasered alphas, doubleshot numpad (except obviously for the comma cap),
random numpad windowed caps where the board has no LEDs (Num, Rollen and even -)
right shift too short (replaced with a 1.25u left shift cap instead of the required 1.75u cap).

One of the worst Frankenboards I have ever seen.
The seller (kaziqkaziqkaziq), which may be a member of DT but at least certainly reads here,
usually makes a better job.

Any yeah, the 1.25u shift key completely ruins the party, pretty sure someone will miss that detail, get the keyboard and then get mad.

I really wonder if he properly swaps the switches or just opens the PCB mounted switches and swaps spring+stems.

Does replacing the whole switch make a difference? Isn't the housing the same for all the cherry mx types?

Wow, a couple days ago I noticed this listing pop up at $199 and was accepting offers. I offered $150 and they accepted. They started out with 22 NIB M13s. I think at least another was sold at that listing. So apparently they took down the listing and changed the price. Not sure where they got the idea that these were worth $550, but I am confident they will not sell any, much less all 20 left at that price. I would suggest some patience and then offering $150 after a few weeks of no activity.

It's amusing to me when people think what they're selling is worth many times its actual value. These people think buyers are gullible, or maybe they don't know how to use the completed listings search (sold only) to determine an actual measure of what something is realistically worth.

I guess most of the people selling keyboard have NO clue what they got. Like this guy that had tons of Nixie keyboard and started selling the first batch for 25€ each and ended up selling the last batch for 250 each and they still went away.

So yeah ... there's these ridiculously low prices we all celebrate and then there's the comically high prices we make fun of. Only on ebay!

BTW those Wey keyboards are selling fast, quite a few offers pending and the same seller also has a number of HK-2000 for 30€. I'm considering cutting those PCB down to 60% and use them in a custom 60%. GMK PCB are very well built contrary to the common Cherry PCB. Anyone who ever desoldered a Skidata board will agree.
