Old MX clears. Seems to be unused, but oddly yellowed.

Based on some of the photos of where the keyboards are stored I wouldn't be surprised...Dra wrote: ↑Seller claims it's due to smoke exposure, not sure how true that is thoughphotekq wrote: ↑http://www.ebay.de/itm/CHERRY-G80-1800H ... Sw2GlXIKrH

Anyways, did anyone here win this?

I was watching it, but on the off chance it was White Alps or some other switch didn't want to spend the $$ on nothing. That particular one should be Blue Alps.

Luckily for another member of this forum, I didn't keep the Nixies after all.
I still have the caps, mine are slightly more yellowed, though. But I cleaned them already. Are you interested?tentator wrote: ↑ Can't believe it! I'd not pay more than 70-80 and love the caps!
PS: If anyone wants the case and PCB they can have it for the cost of shipping.

One of the two switches is allready soldered to one of my keyboards the other nixdorf switch is for my new keyboard with normal vintage black switches and a Satan GH60 PCB (I just wait for the winkeyless plate from the leandreN groupbuy).shreebles wrote: ↑ I'm just glad I bought one from the guy when he didn't know what he was selling.

Someone else got all of the Nixies from the Siemens Softkeys I took apart.

Haha I see!!
Actually it's interesting..
What I did is grasp the keycaps only, since I was not able to get the whole keyboard at reasonable prices and because I was doing a "steampunk" kind of project based on cherry mx whites (actually not sure those nixie switches how they compare and if they are tactile after all)..
Now my opinion is that those double shots are really fantastic!! I think they put some great effort even into making them sound great.. best thock sound ever so far! chyrios should test them and make a video of them! It's just a huge pity there is no Ansi layout...
You see it here: And maybe you have some keys that fit better the left shift and mods in your variant?
And yes it has a trackpoint up there (I fixed it's height and put a red cap on it now)! It's really great to type on.. kind of relaxing..
EDIT: I'm tempted tu mod the original spacebar by chopping one end out and glue the end part back.. it's anyways going to be frankenstein-looking so...
EDIT2: thanks to matt3o for the brownfoxish layout.. personally I'd probably change two things to the layout: split the backspace in two, one for backspace and one for delete or even more radical: swap backspace function below to the \| key and having at row 5 \| and delete keys.. I could actually even thing of having FN key in capslock and either remove FN key at the bottom right at all optionally..
