Probably that b***a dude or what ever his nick was that buys 55% of everything that's interesting.

LOL - I feel kinda bad for that r***y bidder who placed a $400 bid, then came back a few hours later near the end and thought: 'I'm gonna guarantee this goes in my favor!' and placed an $880 maximum...only to be outbid even at that price.

Possibly yes, but then he would show us quite soon.

Right, but this is not some random SSK. Did you guys see the GH thread on these?

I know what it is - but I still don't care that much about the board. I was just picturing that bidder going batshit crazy when they lost lol.

The question is if that bidder knew what exactly it is? It really just looks like any other SSK if you don't go into detail. Madness, I'm suprised Snoopy didn't go nuts over this one he's very much into SSK's.

The bidder had to have known, it's an insane bid otherwise (and even then).

Would be unfortunate if the internals of the board had been replaced at some point.

No, I don't think so.

A pretty generic title for this particular item.

Right, it was on GH after all.

The previous similar pair was on GH, but I didn't see a thread on this one on GH until right at the end. Was there something earlier?

No definitely not a beamspring. Aside from the obvious appearance of the switches, these are soldered in. Beamsprings are modular and installed over a PCB full of capacitive sensing pads.

Looks like old Futabas, but perhaps someone with more experience can ID what type of switches they are. :-)
Thanks for pointing out the difference. :) If the switches arent worth it then maybe at least the caps are worth salvaging.
Looks like it's from a Televideo probably 910, 925 or 950. Futuba switches, MD series.

$890.....wew lad
I guess I am not quite seeing the subtle differences that distinguish this SSK from being a super rare and unique early model, especially with a missing label at the bottom. I would have thought this missing label would have really detracted from the value of such an example.

I know, I was being stealthy. Or a pussy. I just don't want to lose it -- it's the first AT I've seen for sale this side of the pond, so I just didn't want to draw too much attention to it.

Well no one forced you to post anything. ;) Good luck with that AT. I'm not bidding on it, I got too many keyboards.

Whats the deal with generally raised prices on video cards? Isnt it becauce of cryptocurrency mining or something? Ive completely forgotten how any of that stuff works tbh :?

That's actually a great price for a 780 Ti, which outperforms the 1060 and RX 580.

AMD card prices are inflated due to their suitability for mining (though ASICs have really taken over that market), but NVIDIA prices are just high because... Fast. The 1060, for example, is within spitting distance of several cards that cost significantly more. DX12 is changing the game a little, but I don't think NVIDIA will be suffering in that API for long due to their upcoming architectures.

I have read that Videowriter keyboards have brown Alps switches, so I wonder if this have them too.
It's listed as working btw.

Saw this on Flebay and bought it without hesitation;

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Olivetti-ANK ... 2749.l2649

Trouble now is, will it work on any modern day PC or will this keyboard be destined for convict town land-fill?

Does it come with a cable? It seems pricey.... even for a good quality rubber dome.

Also; i had an Olivetti like this one and i have a topre and you cant really compare the two. The only thing they really have in common is the tactile bump (which is much nicer on topre).

I really like these rubber dome over membrane keyboards, this one looks like the plain ANK 25:

The seller said they'll supply an adapter cable for this keyboard but doesn't know if it will work. I guess we'll see when it arrives but if it's in good condition, I will most likely keep it in a box downstairs for some future use modifications.
