Two Pace ST30 soldering stations in the UK at a great price:

These use the TD100 handpiece (don't bother with PS90), with the tips (around 90 geometries, and last forever with proper care) running around $10 each stateside. Not sure what the prices on the other side of the pond are like, but I know that it's pretty uncommon to find these at such prices. Highly recommended as I own a Pace station myself.

Heatup time is under 10 seconds, and these run circles around anything similar of Hakko.

That's for wiping the tip of your iron and keeping it clean.

I'm actually rather confused by one of the stations having a cutout with a sponge looking thing inside. That's not normal, and I have no idea what that is. The stand having brass wool and sponge pad is normal though - people like one or the other or both. I prefer just the brass wool myself to avoid thermal shock on the tips. Simply stab the wool to clean the tip of excess solder and flux residue.

The heatwise are older but still nearly-as-good stations compared to the modern intelliheat stations (ST, MBT, etc) with the blue connector. The trick to the heatwises is that they are controlled by these 3.5mm modules that use a set resistor value to set a certain temperature. One can make these modules themselves (documentation is available for which resistance corresponds to which temp) or buy them. The main disadvantage is that this is not as convenient as a knob or buttons to change temperature. There's a similar older Pace that still uses the TD100 called a tempwise, which looked similar but with digital temperature control.

Plus one of them doesn't have the correct stand.

TL;DR: Go with the ST30, more convenient but pretty much the same performance and in this particular case cheaper (usually on US ebay heatwise is found cheaper)

Curved would be OK, but that tip seems oxidized beyond repair. You'd probably need a new one.

Kinda hard to tell, but that tip looks like it has tinned solder on the end, so it'll likely still work, if whomever used it previously observed the best practice of putting your tips away with a coat of solder still on them.

Regardless, for generic soldering I prefer chisel tips - Pace PN 1124-0013-P1 is a good size. Full listing can be seen here:

Should be G81, Highscreen never made a G80 as far as I know.

It may be the later rebirth that the northgate had ( similar to unicomp and the model M) i forget the name avant springs to mind but i am not sure.
