Hello,
recently got a very old Keytronic foam and foil keyboard. Unfortunately, the spacebar stab guides on the keycap are broken off and I have no idea how they originally looked or functioned. Can someone help me out with this?

This wiki page has some glimpses of a Key Tronic spacebar insert, although it's not for the same type of switch. It looks like a similar principle to Costar stabilisers. The wire in your picture looks like it could work with something similar.

Unfortunately, the parts are gone. I guess it's not that hard to make out how this thing worked, but I would have liked to have the original dimensions and so on. Probably just a plastic plate with a slit for the metal slider. Like that one type of ALPS stab, I think that is the one HC514 meant. Maybe Chyros can help me out, he has some old Keytronic F&F boards.jsheradin wrote: 08 Feb 2021, 19:20 Have you checked in the casing to see if the broken pieces are floating around? If you can find them I'd be glad to make a CAD model and print a few.

Also, that stab is very unusual. Looks like a one-piece plastic part, maybe an attempt at saving costs. Interesting.HC514 wrote: 08 Feb 2021, 18:41 This wiki page has some glimpses of a Key Tronic spacebar insert, although it's not for the same type of switch.
