Because of that I asked for production dates and not for arrival dates. Shipping times vary a lot in my experience. Having the production finished in a month would be great!

Thanks for your quick answer!

I have a question about shipping for this group buy.

While I retain the right to work out the shipping process, I am interested if there is a consensus about shipment processing. Would the members prefer:

(a) Orders to ship out over a period of time TBD, with the first packed being the first shipped, OR

(b) Orders packed over a period of time TBD, with all the orders shipped out at the same time.

Again, I am going to optimize the process on my end, but I would like to understand if there is a consensus among the members.

Thanks in advance!

I don't really care, whatever works best for you.
Obviously I would prefer to get them rather sooner than later but I wouldn't have an issue if I get mine way after many others.
Option (b) would probably lead to less "drama" in this thread".

PS: I remembered something matt3o posted over at DT:
AGAIN: early bird's orders are 100% legit. You just helped me debugging the software and of course... first to place the order, first to be served...

Just want to mention that I was the 5th or so that ordered. ;D

Fair enough. First come, first served...

I would sort all kits and then pack orders and ship once in a while when I manage to get to the post office in time ...

yeah, well, you know, that's just like your opinion man.

samwisekoi: seriously, I don't really care about it, and if one of these solutions keeps the work load lower, you might just go with that.

If I were shipping them, I would sort kits and take what kits I had sorted when I manage to get to the post office, sort some more and take what I had the next time I manage to get to the post office. That seems the most effective use of time and gets some of the kits out without having them sit around until they are all sorted. Minimum anxiety for everyone. :D

Is there any way I can get some extra blank keys?
I did place an order, but I'd like a few caps more for maybe changing layouts (on the GH60)
I would need some 1.5 unit caps, and a 6 unit spacebar, will there also be blanks available through vendors? Or are there maybe spare caps ordered?
And how will you distribute the blank 1 unit caps with deep dish, matt3o, will they be sent with the normal orders or do you buy them and send them afterwards?

I don't think that vendors have any blank key. We have some spares we will use to cover production errors. Leftovers will be handled afterwards. I'll take care of the deep dish keys myself, it will be a couple euros for shipping to EU.

Okay, then I'll have to see if I can get some leftovers if there are some. Thanks!

Do we know where we're at in the SP order-queue? Do they provide a timeline? :)

Keys are already in production. ETA should be end of April, maybe earlier with a bit of luck.

Nice! That was a pretty good turn around time by SP.

Looking forward to receiving these.

being the DSA family keys all at the same level I think they are easier/faster to manufacture. Once again... DSA FTW!

I had a conversation with SP about this, to support all main EU languages it would cost approx $100 per set if we can sell 50 of them. We could split in multiple languages (keeping together very similar ones) but that would make languages with less than 10 units sold costs like $200.

Oh, okay forget it than. No chance 50 people pay 100 bucks for it. Is it that expensive because of the tooling/new legends?

yes, it's $25 per legend (all new legends, they have no EU key in DSA family). BUT I'd like to have a DSA PBT dyesub group buy soon... with that it would be easier to have ISOs

I see. So somebody has to implement a language pack into a main GB to spread the cost over more heads. Otherwise DSA family stays without EU legends forever. :(

DSA PBT dye sub? With whom? SP?

I really hope another set like this will be done. I feel like hanging myself with a keyboard cord for missing this one. Commodore brown is my favorite color scheme.

Is there a pic yet of an ISO set with the DCS enter key on it?

I'd love to see what it looks like next to all the DSA keys. This was the main reason I didn't participate in this GB because I was afraid it would ruin the look of the set for me...
