Hello,
I am looking for the CM Storm QFR with brown switches with an ANSI layout in Europe. I have beem looking in most places and they only have iso /eu layout. Is there anywhere within Europe that I can find one of those? I would really like to avoid buying overseas because of the ridiculous shipping price / VAT tax that will get applied to the keyboard.

Take a look at online shops located in the Netherlands or Poland, they usually habe the ANSI version in stock:

You could try to find a a proxy who buys one in the US and forwards it to you. Let him unbox it, add some sweets and a card and declare it as gift to avoid customs

True. The whole draw of a CM Storm is the price. Which is probably why they haven't exactly taken off in Europe, where they aren't nearly as cheap to buy.

Compared to all the other mechanical keyboards you can get in Europe they are still cheap.Muirium wrote:True. The whole draw of a CM Storm is the price. Which is probably why they haven't exactly taken off in Europe, where they aren't nearly as cheap to buy.

Same from Amazon.de = 95€
KBT Pure Amazon.de: 100€ (110 with backlighting)
Filco Majestouch 2 Amazon.de: 170€

I already have a ducky, I was looking for a QFR because of the price, but I forgot that in Europe, everything is so much more expensive and most of the time, you can't find what you want and have to import which in the end, is even more expensive.

Right. This is especially true of cheerleader costumes, baseball gloves, butterfinger bars, peanut butter, American footballs and ANSI keyboards.

The far east has booth babes. America's got cheerleaders. And us?
None of them, alas, know how to get a QFR with browns in Europe either.

I've heard of the shortage but not honestly seen it in action. Browns seem to be just as easily sourced as reds and blues by Ducky, Filco etc. Is CM meant to be so different?
