I prefer visible keymounts over paper thin keys and ugly mounting marks.

Due to the plastic used, you never be able to not see the keymounts, and I agree with sixty. I would much rather have the thicker plastic. My Choc Mini has visible keymounts, and apparently, so does the Leopold. The thickness of the caps (on the Choc Mini, anyway) more that make up for it as well as the fruity printing (this annoys me much more). I just need to get a few black Cherry keyboards of varying vintages to swap out the keycaps. I would have already done it, but the bottom row on the Choc Mini is a little weird and the right Shift might be a tough replacement. I don't like mix-n-match keys, either; that looks worse than the fruity printing.

Best blank keycaps are the Cherry official ones as seen in our header. Basically they have the characteristics of double shots anyway... about the same weight and thickness.

Some of the very best keycaps made in modern days, imo.

the white double shot pads are special, as they age and turn milky, they become somehow more human, there is kind of warmth to them.

by the way sixty, do you know why cherry does not use metal plate to mount their PCB? their G81 series use metal plate, but such a waste, since people just throw them away, you amongst them.
