I noticed my IBM RGB set run 1 and run 2 are different. Run 1 has a fatter font.

Where on earth can you get dye'd RGB key caps? How much would they cost? Can you sell it to me? I want it very bad? Will you sell? I may sound a little crazy but I want them very bad? Will you sell? That would make my day. So would you consider selling? I will sell one of my organs for them. So have you considered yet? I have a terminal disease and my last dying wish is to own them before I die. So sell them why don't ya?
I love typing on cherry blues.

Seems geekhack has an rgb group buy now of coincidentally exactly the same thing, although they forgot to mention where they got the idea from.. and that is sixty actually. I did the ordering.
That's the right order..deskthority -> korea -> geekhack
Someday..someday geekhack will order keycaps which other people didn't order before, and come with a new idea.

Someday we'll order keycaps at Geekhack and receive them.
However I did get my refund for overpaying back quickly. This is good. Nigerians never give refunds.

So was deskthority the first to order RGB key caps from SP? Was the RGB inspired by some rare cherry keyboard?webwit wrote:Seems geekhack has an rgb group buy now of coincidentally exactly the same thing, although they forgot to mention where they got the idea from.. and that is sixty actually. How did the Koreans get in on this? Was this a combined order between deskthority and Korea or did Korea just follow suit after they saw what deskthority did?
I'm really interested in the details.

Yes, for this particular 7 key rgb set deskthority was the first to order.
Of course the idea comes from old stuff like this. I think this picture is from clickykeyboards. And someone ordered these from Unicomp earlier:
