Don't worry Suupergeek, those 2 unit mods of yours are standard. That's a Cherry stabiliser:
Any 2 unit cap from this GB should slide right on. Even less bother than the Costar stabs a lot of us use.

The best thing would be to take off the odd key caps in the middle and take a photo, so I can see what should fit.Supergeek wrote:I really love sphericals. I used a Commodore 64 growing up. This is my daily driver, a TrulyErgonomic: http://i.imgur.com/yYseXtI.jpg

Is this a losing battle for me? Help!

I was a bit leery to take the caps off the weird ones in case of some bracket I needed to do something special for, but there's nothing like that in there apparently.7bit wrote:The best thing would be to take off the odd key caps in the middle and take a photo, so I can see what should fit.
Warning: disgusting keyboard follows.
Center and left space removed, with caps displayed separately:

Hoping to get in on the deal today if things look good for me.

That's why it's there!
Supergeek: The middle column keys look replaceable enough. Those stabilisers are standard for all 2 unit and longer keys. What you won't keep is the banana shape they have. To see what that's like: try putting your Alt Gr cap on them instead.
If the outer / stabiliser stems aren't on the midline of the cap, then you might be in trouble. I would have to defer to someone more knowledgeable in Cherry mount caps about that.

I just tried my AltGr key in the Backspace slot, and as you mentioned, it looks like the stabilizers are a little bit offset from the middle switch; the AltGr key wouldn't fit. Same with the Enter key. Also, the Tab key area is too narrow to even try. They narrow as they ascend up the middle.Muirium wrote:Supergeek: The middle column keys look replaceable enough. I will try to generate a graphic of the HONEYALL kit. All I need to do is to split the kit up and then montage them together ...
The TrulyErgonomic is really bad:
The stabilisers are mounted to high up, so no key suitable for stabilisers will mount. However, You still can use 1 unit keys on these!

I could use 1-unit keys for the Win, Del and Tab keys (or partial units like 1.25-1.75) and a 2 with one stem for Del and BS and enter maybe. I still have to worry about profile mixing, though. Is there any way to just get a few blanks of each size, like a grab bag for misc blanks?7bit wrote:The TrulyErgonomic is really bad:

I don't quite understand how to pay. I checked my invoice, the OP and the R5 wiki page and there's no paypal address to send it to. Also, what's all this about discount? I say! What ho! Pip pip!
EDIT: Changed my order a bit, it all makes sense now.

1) Find out which boards you want them on
2) Post them here for us
3) Figure out your color scheme
4) We'll do our best to help you organize which sets to get

Start here:osxoep wrote:I don't understand this discount business.
Or how I pay...
http://deskthority.net/wiki/Round_5
Read the first section from top to bottom: How to Order
Place your order by PMing 7bit
You will receive an email explaining how to either 1) EU Bank Transfer or 2) Pay with PayPal
Note: The discount is Cherry MX Anneversary. It is 5% off your entire order IF YOU PAY BY TOMORROW. This should be sufficient to cover the PayPal fees if you choose that route.

I was also invoiced in US$, that wouldn't help with a euro bank payment.
