Sounds like another use case for SysRq, the useless key!matt3o wrote:by default it's the "pause" key, but you can configure it on any key actuallyMuirium wrote:So what's the Firmware key for when you press it by itself? To fill a gap in your layout?

all colors! all rows!
if I have to pick just one color I'd say white on red (or the default white on gray) it's hard to pick a row... 1, 2, 3

it would be for custom keyboards... it's pretty hard to foresee where people want it. by default it should be row 1 (pause/break).

Wait, you just added a 3 unit space bar?
So much for closure! I'd better figure out my space bar situation again.
Also: everyone jump on the ultimate blank kit:
It's on the wiki now, so it must be legit. I have ordered 4! 32 caps for $19 is worth consideration.

Can I still order keycaps (no previous order) or is the deadline reached? Ordering is 2014-01-06 but 100% payment is 2013-12-31. I am confused and I need some keycaps

Oh, nice. Where are the stems on that thing? Is this for Tipros and the like?Muirium wrote:Wait, you just added a 3 unit space bar?

Doesn't say anything about Tipros (where I could also use it), so I assume 7bit either doesn't know or that there's just one regular mount in the middle. For a sweet little space bar that size, I think it's worth a shot.

Oh, whoops, you're right. I checked my mails from the bot and I actually had it on my order about a month ago until one of the trimming rounds.
Like those worked…

According to a Cherry brochure (Keymodule_MX.pdf; thanks dirge!) the stabiliser stems are 1 unit apart from the center, contrary to 0.625 units for 2-2.75 units keys. But I will ask, becuase it could be different on SP key caps.

Thanks! I've placed my order to 7bot, but doesn't get any response. Is there a special PayPal account or where can I throw my money at?Muirium wrote:Fire the 7bot the appropriate PM (with email address) and see if he lets you in. I believe he's the brains in this outfit!

That's cool by me (I could put it on my Tipro until I make a custom board designed especially for it), so long as it has some stab stems!7bit wrote:According to a Cherry brochure (Keymodule_MX.pdf; thanks dirge!) the stabiliser stems are 1 unit apart from the center, contrary to 0.625 units for 2-2.75 units keys. PM 7bit himself about it. Make sure you talked to the bot using the correct syntax. (Yes, this one of those group buys.) I don't think orders are closed yet, but he's the one who runs the show.aaron wrote:Thanks! I've placed my order to 7bot, but doesn't get any response. I keep getting invoices without instructions on how to finish my payment. I only have $8 or so outstanding so maybe that's why?
Guess I should just wait till I get an update on who to pay, but still, I'm DEATHLY afraid my order will be cancelled and then I will have to leave this mortal coil.

The bot is right. Anything less than $10, if I remember, isn't worthwhile collecting with 7bit's proxy system. So order more caps to feel better and trip the threshold!
I'm still getting nagged by the bot for three hundred bucks, but I'll blame that on the bank holiday.
