I'm just collecting the whish list. I regret I did not set it up as a real group buy with proper order IDs and an automated order system ...artee wrote:I tried to order Unicomp Spacesaver and the shipping to Czech Republic was 95 $ for a 79 $ keyboard... What is the shipping to DE from them?
I'll try to get some cheaper model M, as you said, so I'm out of this MO. Sorry for bothering...7bit wrote:I'm just collecting the whish list. What kind of layout do you want? Which color? You know that it will be a 104/105 key keyboard?
In 5 minutes!woody wrote:I am almost sure I'd want to get something from Unicomp. I just have to think more carefully exactly what.
When is the deadline?
Well the only industrial of my seven Ms at the moment is a real one (it's one of the keyboard from the Berlin group buy that Ascaii took care of. Here's the link to the beauty: the 'GH' key and RGB keyset was sent to my by Half-Saint http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?1894 ... got-there! ). The other industrial case is at Gilgam's place.7bit wrote:Do you put the perl white key shells into water overnight and glue the labels on the industrial shells, once they dried?
I'm asking this because I'll probably ask for a set a black keys (white lettering on black keys, either qwerty-us or azerty-fr layout) but I'm not sure yetTacticalCoder wrote:Btw you'll then do a shared Google Doc spreadsheet for this group buy or you'll just keep track of things manually?
Better leave the original shells as they are. If the industrial grey shells come without a sticker, makeing our own stickers is a good ideaTacticalCoder wrote:Well the only industrial of my seven Ms at the moment is a real one (it's one of the keyboard from the Berlin group buy that Ascaii took care of. Regarding my white/beige shells, I haven't tried yet removing labels and putting them on another shell seen that I don't have any other shell yet: I was just thinking about getting new labels and putting them on the new cases once I get them![]()
After thinking about it, I'll take not two more but three complete industrial shells
I've already done business with Half-Saint and Ascaii and you can count on me to pay swiftly and promptly : )
Btw you'll then do a shared Google Doc spreadsheet for this group buy or you'll just keep track of things manually?
Thanks for taking care of this
No need to wait, no need to wait!7bit wrote:TacticalCoder wrote:oh it's just the way we typically work with for stuff shared around the world in my SME and at the one I used to work with previously: it's convenient because anyone can edit the documents and there's full revision history etc. The stuff can be exported in about any format wanted and you can use APIs to query (and update) the thing automatically too. It probably can be scripted too7bit wrote:what is a 'shared Google Doc spreadsheet'?
OK great. I thought we'd all have access to some shared document where we'd all edit our own order.I already have a (manualy created) 3 column 7bit-ASCII list, which waits for prices to be entered into a 4th column, done by a script which reads a price list.
ps: It says "mini group buy" which should run off within this week, once Unicom gave me an answer to my questions!
But if everybody wants to wait until after Christmas, we can do a real mass order!
I noted down the 3 industrials. I'm not sure if they do white text on black keys.TacticalCoder wrote:I'm asking this because I'll probably ask for a set a black keys (white lettering on black keys, either qwerty-us or azerty-fr layout) but I'm not sure yet
i dont think so too which is a shame as cause i have been considering to hop on this group buy but im quite adamant when it come to my white on black or blanks keys7bit wrote:I noted down the 3 industrials. What is an 'excel spreadsheet'?xbb wrote:a google docs spreadsheet is similar to an excel spreadsheet but online which you can edit and anyone it's shared with can view it or edit if they have permission
Blanks are no problem. Just don't know if they still do white printing.hate wrote:i dont think so too which is a shame as cause i have been considering to hop on this group buy but im quite adamant when it come to my white on black or blanks keys
I might have asked that before, but do you know if there is any 3rd party manufacturer which does these key caps?webwit wrote:They don't do white printing. They stopped doing that because of quality issues.
[IMAGE SHOWING 2 BUCKLING SPRING KEYBOARDS WITH BLANK KEY CAPS]
ANSI or ISO (or for both)?TacticalCoder wrote:OK so then 3 industrial shells and a set of black blank keycaps : )
Guess I'll need to find a black M13 one of these days then but "otaku-style" is fine too
Thanks!webwit wrote:[Photos] Unicomp stuff
Oh let say one ISO and one ANSI: I've got 3 ANSI board and 4 ISO ones and can switch between them anyway.7bit wrote:TacticalCoder wrote:ANSI or ISO (or for both)?
A-ha! I knew you were (one) bit off!7bit wrote:I was just kidding.

Nice idea - if it's possible to get a green ISO small Left Shift, I'll take one.pederlol wrote:Hi, I would really like to order some keycaps
If it can be done for these shift keys: (EDIT: ISO piccy)
