Someone who talked the seller into a bin option. Guess I shoudve place a bit when it popped up. That is, unless someone of DT got it.
Are we always looking at the same auctions ? :-)
I had it in my list.

I'd be disappointed if that wasn't the case! :P

Also a System 34 5340 and a Printer 3261-B1

They told me 3000 eur without transport from Spain. I am sure that one can get it for half after some negotiation. Sells since months.

I would keep the 5152.

I have nothing to do with the seller.

I have asked for the price of the 5152 alone.

This is absurd! People ought to unite against driving prices to such insane levels. However, this trend is perhaps having a good effect on my own sanity -- finding ways to make much cheaper keyboards to my liking.

There was also something odd about the auction for the IBM F104 unsaver. When I checked the bids, they were all listed as a private listing, and not even the initials (such as "x...y") were shown. This is the first time I had seen anything like this on eBay.

Such prices are definitely wrong...Some people just have too much disposable income and a strong urge to win.
As for the "private" thing, I think it is an option the seller sets.

yes I saw that yesterday. It´s a little expensive for a M. The Lufthansa branding is nice if you like it, I´ve nerver seen it before. It really depends on how clean it is. And remeber, it was obviously used in a commercial setting and those were ususally heavily used, but often also professionally cleaned and repaired if necessary.

these "high roller" auctions seem to occur more often in the last year or so it seems. This was a special case, a really nice unsaver with APL caps. But you are all right, it' s just insanity. I'd really like to know if the buyer is going to be using it or buying it as an investment.

Wow, the IBM Model F Unsaver went for $820, and the Beamspring for $350. And if somebody is interested in more crazy prices, a Jack O' Lantern Click Clack cap changed its owner for $710.

I think there is a consent that you cannot advertise your own sales as "Great/Interesting Finds",
as obviously they are nothing you did "find".

Meanwhile, even blank caps are sold for 150$ just because they are clacks...

if that auction was in the EU I would pay that! 8-) To me that's more realistic than a unsaver for $ 820. :x

I was also interested in that Beamspring, as a second one is always good to have (to actually use it instead of the other one, spare parts, etc.). But i set my maximum to (unrealistic) $150.

First you get the Clacks. Then you get the power. Then you get the weeeeeeeeemen.

Well, you could buy a sweet bit of sin with that heap of cash, at least.

Industrial SSK, part 41G3613 (like 41G3600). Seller took some bad photos but uploaded a third photo and this time with no iPhone photo filters, per his description in the listing. I am not affiliated with the seller. I expect $800 to $1000 since it has no IBM logo and people may not recognize it as an industrial model if all they see is the default photo.

On Jan-20-15 at 19:11:06 PST, seller added the following information:
I'm told this is an "industrial SSK", which makes it somewhat unique. Attached a photo taken without iphone filters, as there have been considerable concerns about the color.
:?

I´m bidding on this just for the hell of it! I'm the highest bidder right now! 8-)
