Great/Interesting Finds

I think I actually had one of those back in the late 80's - or something very similar (blue 70's thing with separate dual floppy), but with colour monitor. I got it at a flea market for $10. The 8" floppy drive was unbelievably solidly constructed, thick metal parts. The whole thing was huge and heavy - something like 75 lbs. I put it on my balcony when cleaning my house and foolishly forgot about it. It rained for days. By the time I remembered, it was rusted and ruined and I had to trash it. It's the biggest regret in my computing history.

Thanks for validating that for me! When even photekq passes on a Cherry board I know it wasn't a great dealphotekq wrote: ↑ 68EUR for that shiny thing.. no thanks
I spent my money on this instead:
Nova Touch 140€ (ISO-DE and ANSI)
5€ coupon code: AW5XOJNU
At that price, shipping in Germany is free. other countries
Saw it on reddit but thought I'd share because not everyone lurks there (there's only so many pictures of granite sets and poker 2/3s you can look at before you get really bored of r/mk).

You expect waaaaaay too much from eBay, Seebart! Obfuscation is what they're for.

I agree absolutely with you. I don't expect anything from $bay except their endless greed to make more $$$...for a lack of competition. The only reason I even care in this case is that super nice vintage KB. The caps alone.

No. "Killed" auctions read "This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available."seebart wrote: ↑[…] The seller killed the auction, that's for sure. […]
An item has not been sold if it shows "0 bids". That of course works only for auctions, not for BuyItNow items.
If you want to know whether a BuyItNow listing was successful or just ended with no sale,
for example this Kinesis Advantage: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141669389902
paste this link in your browser: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=
and add the item no.
Result: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 1669389902

That was already listed there a few months ago.
A user in another forum bought it through normal eBay but returned it because he said the condition was not as good as he described it.
Now it's up on Kleinanzeigen again.

Very good Mu! No it simply means classifieds. Of course that platform is also owned by you know who...$$$ so technically you're right.

No way!!!! This board will remain untouched, it's a classic. It will remain as is, no modding or other blasphemy. I have Dolch replica from Ivan's GB, nothing will leave this beautyMuirium wrote: ↑I wonder if Daniel is the kind of heartless soul who will steal them for a modern keyboard? Dolch boards are PS/2, I will make some kind of RJ10 to PS/2 adaptor as I don't want to swap the original cable. I made a RJ11 adaptor expecting the board only to realize it's RJ10

Seems nice to me. Too bad that shipping is so expensive and that I prefer clicky switches...
But who likes linear switches and don't mind using ISO that seems like a good keyboard?
Does anyone have experience with that type of switch?
