You guys make waiting hard. Doesn't help that even after I do get my keycaps I won't have the keyboard to put them on until maybe the end of August.

The single keys and small kits never made it into their own bags, so there is no numbering.Muirium wrote: ↑...
Ahem, anyway, several of my kits aren't numbered at all. Typically spacebars and ISO Returns, but there's a bunch of miscellaneous stuff in here…

Just order the ROUND5 kit from CherryMX.hypkx wrote: ↑I have odered from CherryMX some keycaps, switches and from 7bot R5 Leftovers, payed for both shipping costs.
Maybe you can combine the two orders, I don't how it works with the shipping costs then, if some money is over just put some extra DCS/YELLOW/AWESOME in the package
If it is easier for you to split the shipping, it's ok, it isn't so important for me.

@Beltet that looks SICK. Ducky Shine of some kind?
@lefthandedspatula I am indeed in North America. I made a thread for aftermarket trades and the like, I expect it will be pretty busy at some point.

I got it when I laid my first Round 5 order just for the Round 5 caps. 1,5 years ago .
I love the caps, but have trouble typing on it because there is some problem with the stabs on the spacebar. Will check that later.

7bit, I was ready and willing.
I missed Round 5 and was about to shoot my order email for Round 5a, but then the Massdrop Realforce happened last night.
What's the deadline to pay for the Round 5a order? I know the order submission ends at the end of the month, but I'm not sure when the payment deadline is.

I don't think this is a deadline of any significance at all, because first everyone who was in Round 5 will have to get and appreciate their Round 5 stuff, to even know what they need/want from Round 5a. That will still take longer than july. 7bit loves to roll pseudo deadlines.romevi wrote: ↑I know the order submission ends at the end of the month, ...

Shh! Quit spilling the secrets of the Rolling Deadline!
Eventually… yes, there's a deadline. Someday. Not yet, and not likely for a few months. He needs Round 5 out the way first before getting swamped in caps again.

But in all seriousness the rolling deadlines messed me up when I was a noob.

Realforces don't take Cherry MX caps. Round 5a will be much later than next month too -- try next year, if you're lucky! Round 5 has been going on since before I joined DT. When I arrived, I was just too late for the "deadline" (the first of many!) by the time I wanted some. I'd expect a shorter lead time for 5a, but not by a large margin!

Yeah, sorry. I meant I wanted to get the Realforce because it was a sweet deal and I have the funds right now only for either that or the Round 5a sets I want. I know the wiki states the end of the month, but I guess I should take that with a grain of salt.

Ooh okay, I get you now! I think that 7bit posted in here somewhere about extending the deadline a bit. He mightn't have updated the wiki accordingly. Either way, it's probably worth taking the risk - I don't see this GB being manufactured any time soon!

@romevi, what they are saying is that the Round 5A deadline is most likely going to be postponed. So if you'd rather have a Round 5A set (which you obviously do ) you can most likely place an order next month and still get in on the GB with a good margin. I can't say if 7bit is already invoicing buyers for Round 5A, as I am yet to place an order myself.
Hey 7bit, since there never were any HONEY/ASTQUOTE150/RED in Round 5, is there any chance you could add it to Round 5A? Also, how many orders would it have to reach to hit MOQ? (as in, how much money would I have to spend to make sure I get at least one )

OMG! I forgot about that one. But it is kind of hard to pay 24$ just for one key, I have to see if I can use the others aswell. But it would be real neat to have one!

Put the order in for Round5a now, but don't make payment yet if you don't have funds. I got caught out that the deadline for Round 5 was two weeks away then suddenly it was closed and I could not order what I wanted and had to go to leftovers (which admittedly were plentiful). You can pay next month I am sure as of course at this point 7bit has not made any payment for R5a to supplier so no one is loosing at the moment.

That's a good thing! Well, I hope. Over here, your next step would be to head on over there with a wad of cash so they can rob you. Customs Only takes cash. There's a sign. Once you're already inside, waiting in the sorry line.

Panic is always the right answer. Try running around and yelling, that's a proven technique as well. Pro tip: flail your arms and spin your head while doing so, it maximises the effectiveness.
