Can you make an estimation on how long the dye keeps on there?ripster wrote:I don't tell people whether it's worth it or not to anybody.
I am not the Keyboard Oracle. I'm more of a Keyboard Scientist.
Or do they stay on there forever?

Hello everyone,
I've got this Model M with french layout (AZERTY) that I wish to sell. Reasons are I need money and buckling springs is not my cup of tea. It works perfectly but needs cleaning and there are a few scratches on top of the case (like if someone has put tape on it and then taken it off).
Model : 1391402
DOB : 28/02/1990
PS/2 connection
Photos are below :
I am completely unable to put a price on it. The only thing I'm sure of is that I'd rather keep it than sell it for peanuts, that's still part of my personal collection.
If someone could help that would be greatly appreciated.

Those switches on the Acer look a bit odd. Though I cant really see it well. Are you sure those aren't the Acer switches?

How about my TG3 BL82 with back light mod and cherry clears. It came with factory back lighting, but since it was designed for police cars, the back lighting won't work over p2/s without a mod. Some simple splicing and it's good to go. BTW, the cherry clears are not the standard switch for this board. It normally comes blacks and apparently this one with clears was either part of a limited run or custom order I guess. Either way, thing is built like a tank, there are few plate mounted clear boards out there, and even fewer with clears and back lighting.

I have found ISO SSKs to be a good bit rarer then their ANSI counterpart, but due to the differences in currency value they end up costing about the same. Personally, I had been searching for an ISO SSK for half a year and then gave up finding one, so my ANSI SSK is currently being bolt modded and changed to ISO by half-saint for me.rodtang wrote:I don't own one but would an ISO Model M Spave saving cost more or less Than an ANSI one? And how much to you think an ISO would go for normally, and NIB just for the heck of it.
150€ is a ballpark estimate, a NIB would net a good bit more of course...but that would depend entirely on the layout, and the amount of people interested. Anything is possible in an auction.

Haha, I'm interested in this one. I don't see many new factory custom keyboards. Also I just realized the spacebar has four clear plastic pieces rather than two on this one. I couldn't find any other TG3 boards with four.
