I think they even made numpads that were somewhere between an M and an F. Someone posted it a while ago Oo .Phenix wrote: ↑So what's the IBM numpad actually? (I know they made rubberdome numpads, but BS!? (I only know the one with the M-15))
Has someone an idea?

Something like that was also mentioned in the GH thread, https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=50 ... msg1086547Chyros wrote: ↑I think they even made numpads that were somewhere between an M and an F. Someone posted it a while ago Oo .
These are Model Ms in fact, but they have a Model F-like assembly inside as plastic rivets wouldn't work with such a small keypad design.

Wow, what a photo, so much IBM goodness in that.
Those beamsprings to the left(?) and right sides of the photos, and that gas-plasma display, hnnnghh.
I'd imagine that 5x5 keypad is even moreso a unicorn than the Unsaver it complements.
I just really love this; this was the future, or at least it should have been. Damned competitors making cheap junk and driving IBM out of the biz. Where is the photo from?

I bet they'd sell for a pretty penny. It's from a Chilton Computing gallery , lots of rare displaystation terminals in there http://www.chilton-computing.org.uk/gallery/emdude wrote: ↑Wow, what a photo, so much IBM goodness in that.

This is more of a teaser than anything, but I think the vintage computer collecting bug just bit me. Hard.
Edit: no idea if the deal I'm trying to make will go through, even partially.

Ha I have a semi-compete Sharp X68000 and that compete Leading Edge. Never thought vintage computers would be a thing of mine. Granted I don't know if I'll actually get any other system except maybe an MSX or NEC PC-8801ohaimark wrote: ↑This is more of a teaser than anything, but I think the vintage computer collecting bug just bit me. Ok, now you mention it it seems pretty clear. Seems pretty ridiculous that someone would find that comfortable though.

I love how the keypad maintains the aesthetic of the larger board. That huge bezel, man. Jeez.emdude wrote: ↑Wow, what a photo, so much IBM goodness in that.

That first one is a real cutie. I'm not allowed to buy any more at the moment, so I'll just save the picture and print it out really big and rest the pic over my real board. It's basically the same that way.ohaimark wrote: ↑My lowball bids were thrashed, so I'm going to be a jerk and post these auctions for ANSI SPACE INVADERS.
