I actually hate the magic mouse, I find it extremely uncomfortable. I use a Mionix Naos mouse which is marketed as a gaming product. I use it because I find it really comfortable.

Yeah, mice are definitely a personal thing. Weird how we don't talk about them more. I find myself totally useless with a big tall claw grip gaming mouse, especially when the speed is cranked up. If anything, I have stronger opinions about mice than even keyboards! But they're not as interesting a market. Apple's got me covered, which I surely can't say for their keyboards!
Then there's nasty fact that the vintage mice that matched some of the best keyboards we still prize, well, are garbage. Anything with a ball is awful.

I heard good things about trackballs actually, but I just don't find it that practical. I'd still like to try vertical mouses, though, I hear they are the best for your wrists.

I've tried a vertical mouse. There was one in the DT Surprise Box when it was my turn on the tour. (Hey, whatever happened to that again?) It was an interesting change from usual, but not well suited to my hands. (iPhone Plus big!) I've got big palms that tend to put my fingers out too far for most large bodied mice. I'm best off with finger grip.
