Hello,

I recently came upon a IBM Model F but it has a XT cable. So I was wondering if it was possible to convert it to a PS/2 with something like this.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Pin-Mini-Din- ... Sw0j9ZWEd8 to this http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-PS2-to-USB- ... xyB0VRs7eh. I would have bought the XT/AT to USB sold by orihalcon on ebay but I already have the PS/2 to USB from a Model M.

Thanks.
Sean

Wont work because the Model F speaks XT and that is an AT adapter, you'll need the soarers converter from orihalcon.

Just to be sure, it's the 83 key XT you bought with the weird layout right? And not the 84 Key AT?

I think you can actually use an AT to PS/2 adapter with the XT as long as you then use it with the PS/2 to USB Soarer's converter as the pins all end up being the same and the Soarer's Converter will auto-detect the XT protocol :)
