... and, after a bad experience with an online recycler that had a high score, this outright makes me nervous. https://www.ebay.com/itm/152795742299 - should I run the risk?

It has the F122 connector on the cable. I've never seen an M122 with that style of connector.depletedvespene wrote:Meanwhile... an auction for a Model F that does NOT show the backplate. I asked the seller about it, but has yet to respond. https://www.ebay.com/itm/152795958606

This one is a Model F, and yes, some first-generations Model M-122s have that straight 240 degree DIN cable with metal collar, I have one of them.Techno Trousers wrote: ↑It has the F122 connector on the cable. I've never seen an M122 with that style of connector.depletedvespene wrote:

It looks like an F to me . the back gives it away as it has the small plastic cover on the back not a plastic bottom case

I recently bought a Model F AT that wasn't tested and it works great, I heard that Model F's in decent condition usually work so I would take the risk on it.depletedvespene wrote: ↑... and, after a bad experience with an online recycler that had a high score, this outright makes me nervous. https://www.ebay.com/itm/152795742299 - should I run the risk?

Unless some asshat has fried the controller chip like on my first F122! I had to wait for the replacement controller to be invented before i could use it , had it for a good few years gathering dust.

The seller did add a picture of the back after I asked him about it. I'm soooo tempted.andrewjoy wrote: ↑It looks like an F to me . the back gives it away as it has the small plastic cover on the back not a plastic bottom case

Yep 100% an F .
It has the blue sub legends and is in amazing condition.
I would go for it if i was you , its hard to find a case that nice for the F as they crack and the one with the blue sub legends is so sexy
It is a bit expensive . i would see if he will knock a bit off so you can buy a converter.
Then again it is in super nice condition.

I know I'll only be disappointed if it doesn't work and can't get to use it.
God, I WISH I could have an F model at work. I need a silent model of whatever to use there. I asked around and I'm tempted to try a Realforce 87 55g (but after THIS purchase, that's gonna have to wait a bit...).

Just bring it in one day and say nothing. They will learn to love the sound .
I am lucky in my work , its IT policy for the IT manager to have a model F keyboard ( guess who the IT manager is )

I DID bring in the M122 once, to show it off for one day. They were all shocked at its sheer size. The girl right next to me told me she'd kill me with it if I typed on it too much.

Is it Model F122 season? Just got this one: https://www.ebay.it/itm/IBM-Model-F-122 ... 3261121272
Fair price, I think (even though shipping it to Europe adds quite a bit).
Another Battleship leaves the land of the free. Maybe the seller is in here?

This has to be one of the funkiest keyboards I've ever seen. Is this really IBM and micro switches?

That's a Honeywell probably with Micro Switch SD Series switches and real nice keycaps I was going to get it but it went too high for me. I got what I need Honeywell wise;DustGod wrote: ↑https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 1443822411

Yup, nice. Surely good to have: I've thought about bidding myself, but I'm only interested in usable keyboard (convertible with a reasonable effort). The keycaps are awesome though!seebart wrote: ↑

Actually pretty elaborate to have. Large, bulky but good looking and only possibly usable with an alien layout. But the keycaps are about the nicest there are.DustGod wrote: ↑Yup, nice. Hahaha I'm really not doing those because I'm running out of material . The reduxes are of videos so old that they might as well be completely different reviews :p .seebart wrote: ↑Hope they went to you so we can see less "redux" from you in the future...Chyros wrote: ↑Well they went .mhinsch wrote: ↑Two weird terminal keyboards:
