This is exactly the Alps keyboard that I've been looking for...
The layout, SKCL browns, and in such a good condition, it's like icing on the cake.
How does SKCL browns compare to the SKCL greens? How much heavier?

They're very very light. Maybe it's because there's less friction but yeah, I always unintentionally press keys when I'm just resting my hands.

One nice keyboard !
Looks like its been hand assembled or had rework done on it with that flux everywhere.
Only on some pins tho so possible rework.

It's certainly possible that the board was reworked in some way.
I actually purchased another one of these keyboards to resell. When I tested it, I noticed that about half a dozen keys weren't registering. I went into autopilot mode and started desoldering those switches in order to clean the contacts. But when I removed each switch, I found that they were all operating just fine.
It turned out that the keyboard had a dead diode. I replaced the diode and the keyboard worked beautifully.
I didn't know that diodes were at all susceptible to dying. Out of all the many keyboards I've worked on, this was the first time I've come across such an issue.

I'm restoring one of these Packard Bell systems and need the original keyboard for it... @snacksthecat do you have one that you want to sell by any chance? I sent you a PM...
