Nice one! Thank you. Looks like Alps switches maybe? I have a chunky old Zenith laptop like this with very nice-sounding white Alps. The difference is on mine, the keyboard isn't detachable. Now I'm even sorrier I missed these!

Ok, I know this says it's a Monterey K207, but what *is* a Monterey K207? Google, wiki, DT search all show nothing. I've been playing with Montereys for thirty years and I've never seen one before.

I was also curious about this and couldn’t find anything about it. The switch doesn’t resemble anything I’ve seen before:

the keyboard comes from a olivetti typewriter with german layout. i found pretty much nothing about this model. the switches feel/sound really nice and have a soft click on them. it's been a little while since i've converted my last keyboard, but this might just be my next challenge anyways, i'd appreciate if someone could tell me what i found here..

The mounting is Micro Switch "like" but have never seen a spring mechanism or slider like that. Do you have an ID on the keyboard itself or wider keyboard pics?

It looks exactly like the Compact Cherry-Goupils in the Wiki.

But the wiki says „Cherry MX“ and the switch doesn’t look even remotely like Cherry MX.

I did some research prior to buying it and all sources I had said that the Compact Goupils only came with MX switches (some of the full size were G81s but also Cherry though). That's what I expected get to be honest so when I unboxed it yesterday it wasn't a pleasant surprise to be honest. :/

Also: What companies other than GMK and Cherry built keyboards in Germany in the 1980s/1990s?

Yes, the overall look is clearly Goupil, when I look at the posted picture and the wiki.
As for the companies, there is also RAFI, but neither the case or the switch looks like RAFI.
And Siemens fits also in this time frame, but the look of case and switch appear to be Siemens-style, either.

Yes it's the one from Ricardo If you decide to buy it, I would be really interested to hear more about it, but I think I won't buy it. I just realized that it is declared as a Microsoft keyboard, but I don't think I have ever seen such a keyboard by Microsoft.

Better be watching it at 2x speed if you don't want to waste like half an hour of your time, because I tend to talk more than it needs to.

PS: The video ended abruptly because I accidentally hit the spacebar while it was connected to the computer.
PS2: Also the spacebar on that keyboard is surprisingly silent, like no stabilizer rattle at all.

I’ve thought they are [wiki]RAFI RS 77 C[/wiki] and wrote so in the Wiki, but I have nagging doubts. Can someone identify the switches, so that I can correct any mistakes I’ve made in the Wiki? Key travel is 4mm.

OK, I’ve found the answer to my own question.
It’s a DS102W from Printec DS.
According to this data sheet (for a slightly different variant with integrated finger mouse) it’s rubber dome (“Principle: Contact by a silicon switch pad with carbon contacts”).

Double shot keycaps (data sheet; Printec website states “lasered keycaps”) IP65 protection, “3.25 mm travel keys with tactile feel”, operation force 0,65 N.
Connection is a bit hazy, “Bidirectional serial output in IBM format”, but there are variants with DIN-SubD9, PS/2 and USB. And since the one on EBay has a proprietary connector, your guess about it is as good as mine.
