I have a regular push button that I want to activate without using my finger.
Instead of pressing the button with my finger, I want to press a key from a keyboard-like mechanism. When I press that key, a small post or stem should come down from underneath the key and physically press the button below it. So pretty much I want to press the button without using my finger I need a keycap sound to press it.
Basically I want a mechanical keyboard-style keycap that actuates a regular tactile/push button underneath it.
What would be the best way to design this? Should I 3D print a custom key with a stem that reaches the button? Any tips or existing designs for this from Amazon.
