Did some modding on my Quick fire.
It now has cherry doubleshots, is white and has ghetto red switches, I love it and wanted to share.
This is what I had to work with, white cherry PBT caps wasnt too good looking on the board...

Looking very nice!
I am also looking for a Quickfire right now and am planning on spraying/painting it.
How did you do it?
Is this some off-white colour or pure white?

It's pure white.DeathAdder wrote:Looking very nice!

I cleaned the board, sprayed some primer on it and then did like 8-9 really thin layers of white paint. Turned out great.
I tried to vinyl wrap it first but that didn't go well, so I painted it and the results speak for themselves.

Yeah, I was pissed over the fact that I have to mod the spacebar from the double shot set to make it fit, but it looks good as it is now so I think I'm going to let it stay.off wrote:Wow, first time that logo'd spacebar actually looks good!
Is that wristrest attached btw?
The wristrest is home made out of wood and vinyl, it's not attached to the board, but it has a mousepad under it so it is kinda attacked to the board, don't know how to explain so I'll just take pics and show you later today.

No need, that was my first impression (pretty clear on this pic), but somehow I got the impression that the sandwich was attached.. Is the mousepad attached to the plank though?huttala wrote:The wristrest is home made out of wood and vinyl, it's not attached to the board, but it has a mousepad under it so it is kinda attacked to the board, don't know how to explain so I'll just take pics and show you later today.

Oh, man. I had stayed away from the Quickfire, because I had heard from someone that the Swedish version would have a horizontal Enter key. Well, that was wrong. Time to get one.

As far as I know, blacks.hamza_tm wrote:Which switches are available in ISO?
But it isnt that hard to desolder the switches and change em like I did. Just takes some time.

QF Space should be standard Filco 6.25 as it's said to be an pretty exact Filco clone.
But I have no idea about the Noppoo

The space on Quick fire is the same as the space on Filco. I have no idea about the noppoo, but it's much smaller then the space on my quick fire anyway.ped wrote:What size is the space bar on the CM Storm? And on the Noppoo while we're at it too, I guess.
