monitors arrived off ebay one was 16:10 one was 4:3 i ordered 2x 4:3.....shipping one back
filco had a dodgy backspace i fixed it by taking cap on n off and wiggling.
mousemat had a big crease in it, just about fixed it with an iron and a heavy book

this wouldnt be too too bad normally, but the fact is im unlikely to ever find one so cheap again.
and yeah its useable still but its lost A LOT of value, and some function.

just got the keyboard, wasnt very well packaged just one sheet of bubble wrap and folded in half which is going to lead to it clunking about against the other half. got it home and sure enough

piece of the ball joint is broken off and the joint is cracked all the way through. will no longer connect together and has lost most of its value to me as a collector and to other collectors as well as its intended function

from here i feel we should proceed one of two ways.

a) you could give me a full refund including shipping both ways

b) i could keep the keyboard and you would only refund cost of the keyboard not the postage. (it has lost a lot of functionality and wont be worth much anyway)

I think that the strength of the ball joint is important. There is no way to mend it that will make it as durable as its once was. If you use a glue, you could get cracks because the hardness of the glue being different from the plastic. If you use solvent, then the join will be softer than the surrounding plastic and the mended part may be slightly smaller than before.

Plastic solvent welding results in a joint that's about as strong as the original plastic... but it will inevitably lose a hair's width of thickness as you squeeze the fragments together. And it's my understanding that in the ball housing, there are some fine tolerances involved, in order for the ball mechanism to feel just right in operation, not too loose and not too tight. Every other part of the keyboard could've been repaired by solvent welding, but not the ball housing. This damage looks permanent, which really sucks.

Maybe the gaps inbetween those fins could be filled up with epoxy?
So you'd first 'glue' the parts together normally, fix them in place with tape then fill out the fins with small pools of somewhat slower epoxy to add material for strengthening;

got a 100usd refund, and kept the board. modding it now, i could have got a full refund if i wanted to, but wouldnt have kept the board.
