To chime in, i think another angle of approaching the difference is: if a person is searching for that particular piece of complex, hard-to-listen music that touches a part of his/her individuality, or if it stays "at the surface" by listening music which is easy for everybody's ears. The same piece of music can fulfill any of that roles, for different persons. So it's always when you consider the couple person-music piece that you know which is the case. But usually, when somebody gives you some links to listen to, you can compare them between themselves and with what you know about that person, to form yourself an opinion - do they have something in common, or are they all "at the surface".
Complex music isn't always better music - you don't have to like progressive rock (compare to ruminations in thinking).

davkol wrote: The problem isn't "what is good", but rather "what is music" in the first place. Like the definition that say music is socially defined, i.e. anything anyone considers music is music. The problem is that any kind of noise is probably music then (ugh), hip hop is music (ugh), grind is music (ugh), rap is music (ugh) or most electronic music is... music (ugh).

RAP is Rhythm And Poetry - some consider rhythms music, some consider poetry music, hut you cannot say something is not music just because you dislike it. Even if 90% of people think it is garbage, if one person considers it music, it is music.
But it pisses me off when all these rappers say the n word 10 times a minute and then get arsey when some white dude says it. Although the world is getting more progressive, one of my black friends in america insisted I call him 'my nigger' lol

That's the problem with modern music "artists" - they don't need talent to make music. Even a loud-mouthed American news presenter can make a hit song:
Just think of all those poor bastards out there who spent 15-20 years mastering their musical instruments - and they're not nearly as popular as a news guy shouting "Fuck it!"

And I thought I was creepy — I don't know how she would react to seeing that video.
OK, WTF … the cartoon likenesses even made it to her Wikipedia page:

(Yes I got her name solely from the on-screen text in the video.)

I'll always stand up for The Doors. They were The Smiths of their generation. And more my style, besides.

Two, to me equally relaxing tracks ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
The first one is the Radio Edit, I prefer the full 7:30 version but I couldn't find it on yt or soundcloud. EDIT: Oh this video fascinates me over and over again
