by the way, Sixty dedicated a lot of time to create that opportunity, he did it on his free time.
I don't think that most of you know what it could be to deal with customs, to deal with lost packages and so on.
Sixty also lost a lot of time with the paypal issue. And then, I can say that he lost his paypal account.
Paypal rule is "6 month after the end of the 45 days period...", which basically means 7 month or so after feb 2nd .
I'm just saying that, if each one of you had ask for a refund on march 3rd, he would have been able to refund each one of you.

ISO would be enough, caps can be replaced. Did I understand correctly that you saying there might be some sort of ISO in the works though?

I guess that pretty much everyone who participated in this group buy knows that he didn't do it to make profit. What people obviously have hoped for is more communication from his side in the recent months (hence all the inquiries regarding any news/updates).attarian wrote: by the way, Sixty dedicated a lot of time to create that opportunity, he did it on his free time.
But this issue has already been discussed here a couple weeks ago.

I think that the better way to do this is to do a list of people who wants the refund (my case) and other list with people that wants to continue with the group buy, and then think which is the better way to refund the money.
I paste here the mail from sixty, maybe you have it at spam folder (my case):
Hi everyone,
First off, apologies for the very long delay in updates regarding the
RACE 75% group buy! I have been into some serious personal problems
that made it hard to wrap my head around anything else until now.
Next: As you are all very well aware, the Race 75% order has been on
hold now since around 6 months, due to PayPal freezing my account and
then ignoring all attempts of communication ever after. As had been
pointed out by a user on the deskthority forums PayPal in Europe is
required to release the funds after about 6 months according to EU
law. As of last Tuesday, PayPal has released the bank account lock and
has allowed me to withdraw the entire funds (minus PayPal fees) to the
associated account. So now I have most of the money back and finally
out of the greedy claws of PayPal.
The shipping costs that I had originally tried to transfer to my bank
account (and that probably caused the initial lock) are still
indicated as "pending", but I assume they will also be released by
PayPal eventually.
Now here is where things get a bit complicated - With PayPal locking
my account and showing no intention of ever unlocking it again, I am
not sure how to best refund you all the money. The payments in most EU
countries should be no issue to transfer by bank account with IBAN
booking, but some countries have very high IBAN costs and may even
charge for receiving money. So this is something we have to figure out
together.
I also thought about maybe sending a major amount of the money to
someone else of you who could then handle the remaining "split
refunds" by PayPal to individuals. But then we might just run into the
very same issue again. So if anyone has any idea - or knows for sure
that IBAN does cost/does not cost a shit ton in his country, please
let me know what you think would be the best to do.
Alternatively we could also consider refunding those who want a refund
and perhaps even going through with the order for those who still have
interest in the keyboard (after full 8 months of waiting..)
Let me know what you think.
PS: Please reply by e-mail, as I still do not have enough time to
catch up on the forums and my insanely full inbox!
Thanks!

His PayPal account is still locked. From the e-mail above:
"... PayPal has released the bank account lock and has allowed me to withdraw the entire funds (minus PayPal fees) to the associated account."
(the associated account I presume is a regular bank account)
"... With PayPal locking my account and showing no intention of ever unlocking it again ..."
Perhaps there are other equivelent services that could be used? Or like Sixy suggests, make transfers to a few key people who could then send it on to the people within their region or country at little cost.

If only there was a real alternative to paypal , i had to pay for stuff on ebay by a paper cheque for years as they would not let me remove a card from my account that had been lost and cancelled and replaced by my bank, even after i sent them high resolution scans of my passport and national insurance card. This situation is even worse.

Kickstarter would have been nice for all the group buys : )
Alas, it seems they also take a sizable chunk of the money. 5% for them, with Amazon taking another 3-5% for processing the payments (at least that was what I found from searching around a bit).
Is Skrill ( https://www.moneybookers.com ) an option? Don't have any experience with them, but only option I could find right now that was international - and at least from a quick read, their fees seem more reasonable than PayPal.

I'd much rather just have the keyboard rather than a refund.
Didn't get the above email, though. Was it sent out to everyone?

I Think that people who want their money should get them as soon as it is possible. PayPal, direct transfer, something else - this should be considered individually. I know that it is tiring but nothing else comes to mind.

The point is it would be expensive to do each transaction individually because of the high IBAN fees. PayPal isn't available and I doubt sixty is going to touch that piece of turd with a sixty foot pole.
