I send one mail to customer service, one to a staff
but didn't get any reply yet
Are they still making RGB sets?

They still have them, but I don't know if they're a production item or NOS.

When did you send this? Yesterday?

To speed up communication with Unicomp,
I plan to purchase a teletype machine.

Truth be told: They don't make the RGB sets anymore. They are out of right shifts in green. And they don't make left ISO shifts in green.

I did the large group buy over at geekhack, so I am privy to this information.

Did they say they don't make them at all. Or just not a mini batch?

You'd have to order say, 1000 for it to be reasonably priced. I'm working with them right now to see if they will work with SP on my behalf. I tried to coax key dimensions out of them, but Neil did not want to go for that. (Neil is the owner fwiw)

If possible I'd like the following:
4 Industrial mini shells
6 red Escape keys
4 RGB winkeyless modifier sets (for mini)
1 RGB modifier set with winkeys (for Customizer 104)
20 small blue IBM logos (for mini)

They sold out on the mini cases a while ago.

Still no message from Unicomp. If they don't respond, I will write them a letter on Monday.

If you have enough keyboards, you can sit on them!

You can type an e-mail with them and send it off to the pizza service.

No cooking needed!

:ugeek:

ps: You also need no furniture, except for a spartan writing desk and some steel-shelves. (see webwit's flat as a sample!)

Anybody interested in NIB 122 key IBM Model M Emulators with gray IBM logo and fully working with PC via PS/2 ?

Price will be 125 EUR including shipping within EU.

edit: OK, forget about it. :-(

Do you have good picture of the layout? I was just looking at Unicomp's, and the ISO layout turns me off. I guess the IBM will be exactly the same, but I want to ask, anyway.

EDIT: But I am thinking about Unicomp's On-the-ball now. Hmm.

EDIT: Oh, 7bit, I am jelly of your Cherry battleship. Any source of more units?

Bad and disappointing news from Unicomp:

They apologize for the delay. No problem!

1x 122 Key Emulator, Pearl White, US-layout, PS/2, with neutral LED-label (text only, no symbols) ?
Cover set sels for $20, does not iclude logo plate; printed button ses
are $25; complete keyboards can be ordered at our web site
http://www.pckeyboard.com
So it is $99 for the keyboard and no answer if they have a neutral LED cover.

Model M 101 key industrial gray keyboard shells.
(Do the industrial gray shelles still sell for $10?)

I thought I was clever, but nope:
The complete set is $20; Top is $10 and bottom is $10
LOL!
Now comes the real diappoinment:

> - 8x LED-labels in black, text only, no symbols
Not available
> - 8x LED labels in gray, text only, no symbols
Not available
> -24x IBM labels to fit the industrial boards in silver on black
We cannot sell IBM badges
^^^ They have them but they will not sell them!

I'm working on a solutionn for the badges, but thwey will be no genuine ones. Really sad that they have no good old LED covers anymore. The Unicomp ones suck! So we need to have them made elsewhere as well.
> Is there any chance there will be an industrial gray shell for the 122
> Key Emulator keyboards available?
Not available
I had hoped they would say something like 1000 @ $20 per shell and 10,000 @ $10. But nope!
Standard printed buttons sets are $25; Custom button sets require $400
set-up cost and $200 for the first 100 keyboards. After the first 100
units, the incremental cost per keyboard would be $2
$25 are OK.

Suppose we have 104 keys with custom layout and sell 200 like in Round 3 the Standard kit:

25+(400+2*200)/200 == 29

Can someone confirm that this is how it is, or did I get it wrong?
Setup is $400, MOQ is 100 and one set costs $2 extra on top of the usual $25 ?

You are the 2nd one who thought it is a 2100!

In fact it is a Model F 122 key, from Scotland, made in 1885!

Just asked them again with a picture attached.

Maybe it was some misunderstanding.
