Autofire, repeat fire and turbo are terms denoting that a button on a game controller creates repeated button presses by itself.
In one convention, autofire means that the button repeats when held.
In another convention, turbo means that the button repeats when held and autofire means that it repeats always (held or not) or that the button toggles repeat on and off.
The functions are often enabled by separate buttons, by toggle switches or by three-state toggles ("turbo", "auto", "off").
