Keyboard switches for which its switch module would allow its slider's position to be read throughout a range of key travel — given that the keyboard also has capable sensor, circuitry and firmware together with the switch module. Therefore, all keyboards with such a switch may not actually take advantage of the analogue capability of the switch module.
When analogue features are available, the keyboard could potentially emulate an analogue joystick, have a configurable actuation point, sense the speed of key-press (like a MIDI keyboard) and/or even allow multiple actuation points.
