This category is a holding ground for photographs that need to replaced at some stage. Possible reasons for inclusion are:
- Dirty subject
- Poor lighting
- Excessive background detail or subject too small within the frame
- Poor focus
- Unlicensed work, uploader/author is unreachable and no replacement exists
Care should be taken to ensure that the replacement photograph is suitable for all the pages on which the original is used; use the what links here facility on the sidebar to double-check.
If the replacement image is roughly the same as the original and the license terms of the replacement are the same as the old image, simply use the upload new version facility to replace the image directly. Otherwise please upload it separately and then edit the relevant article(s) as necessary to point to the new image instead.
