Description

The Cherry G80-0427 is the XT compatible Cherry keyboard manufactured for the NCR PC4, introduced in 1984. It was also used with the later PC4i model. This keyboard is one variant of the NCR H0150-STD1-10-17

This was one of the first keyboards to feature the well known linear Cherry MX Black switches. The switches are PCB mounted, and feature diodes. The space bar switch uses the still relatively unknown "Cherry MX Space Black" switch which is noticably heavier in keyweight than a Cherry MX Linear Grey but less so than a Cherry MX Super Black.

The keycaps are ABS doubleshot, with Caps Lock and Num Lock having a window for a status LED. The keyboard was made in West Germany, and has a coiled cable with a DIN connector manufactured by Hirschmann. The PCB is clamped in place by the case halves; it does not have any locating screws or pegs.
