Cherry MX Silent Red switch is the result of Cherry's partnership with Corsair to make a quieter switch overall. The switch is deemed silent due to the rubber pieces in the switch, which dampen the sound on the upstroke, making a quieter switch.
Diatec(Filco) chose to call this switch "Cherry MX Pink" to distinguish it from Cherry MX Red even though that is not the official name.
This switch is available in five variants:
- MX3A-L1NN without pins
- MX3A-L1NW with pins
- MX3A-L1DN with diode, without pins
- MX3A-L1DW with diode, with pins
- MX3A-L1JW with jumper and pins
There is also a "RGB" variant.
